1 question to ask is tomolo going to which part of kulai makan? And wat's the minimum travelling speed to follow. THere was once when i went out with a group who told me only travel at 120km/h, but after that all disappear like lightning liao....

only bring the tools bag and air pump ar?? others spare part no need ar? i think i had the tools bag with me.. but dont know full or not... never open and check.. hehe... how about b4 i move off... whats bike condition should i look for??

 

i'm going with 4 of my friends, 2 african twins, 1 super 4 and 1 unknown bike.

 

i'll go off at friday (5th Aug) afternoon, around 1430. guess will arive ipoh at around midnight. coz my friend said wanna travel slow...

we move off to penang at sat morning... hang around there awhile then move back to ipoh at night (ETA unknown, depend of place of visit in penang). then sunday morning depart to cameron highland... as usual, hang around there awhile, enjoying the weather then move back to ipoh at night. finally, monday afternoon (mostly after lunch, coz ipoh good nice ) depart to singapore... ETA reach singapore also before midnight.

 

we plan to have a rest at all R&R station along the way... thats should b around 150km per stop... hopefully wont stop more than 1/2 hours... coz last time i travel back with them... we actually stop around 1 hour, which take us 8 hours to reach ipoh even we travel around 140kmh... btw, last time me ride super 4 spec 2... petrol wont allow me travel more than 200km at 140kmh... hehe... else i guess i need to push bike liao..

 

i will take 1.5 days leave... coz friday travel at around 1430 and wed is SG national day... hehe... not much leave left coz just come back from mount KK.. hehe... need to save some for coming CNY... hehe...

 

if u guys really need to join, i need to check with my friends 1st... hope u guys understand... since i only had 4 friends in the 1st place, was planing for them stay at my home... but if u guys travel along.. guess u guys need to stay at hotel already... per night i guess around RM 80-120.

 

btw, tomolo night i will go to JB to pump petrol as well.. but with my housemate and will move off to there late.. coz sat night quite jam... so normally i will depart from my home (Marseling) around 2330-0000.. then go to JB opposide new york hotel mamak stall and have a tea b4 pump petrol and head home... almost every sat night will go there pump petrol.. some times even twice a week.. wed and sat night... coz singapore pertol exp and my work place quite far... upper changi north... if u guys free and dont mind jaming at corseway with me... feel free to join me...

 

if u guys wanna join, plz give me ur name asap... coz need to check with my friend whats their oppinion.... for me confirm no problem and glad u guys can come with me... hehe...

i have a problem... my left head beam seem siao siao abit... some time light up but some times dont.. when i dont.. i put to high beam.. its on.. normal didnt light up... already didnt light up for 2 days.. but today light come back.. i wonder y?? is it the wiring problem?? or the light bulb connect to soccket no good? plz advice

Well, API service "CD" or rather "C*" are ratings for diesel engines while "S*" are for gasoline engines.

 

I saw in other forums that Energy Conserving oils contains Anti-Friction modifiers which is known to cause clutch slippage. This fact is also verified in our owner's manual. Motorcar oils do not lubricate the clutch so they can use this kindof oil.

 

But thus far i haven find any relation between the Anti-Friction modifiers and API Service "CD".

 

But our manual say dun use oils of grade CD or higher. This is the one and only reason that is stopping me from using alot of "Good Brand" 4T. This includes Mobil, Fuchs and some other which i cant recall. (its 2 yrs ago lor)

So far based on my search, only Rockoil Synthesis4 and Motul do not have API Service "CD" or higher printed on their bottle so i use them. Simple as that.

 

Note: If any of the facts are wrong, pls highlight to me. Thanx.

just check my old engine oil, Modul 300V, SAE 15w50 spec, its API SG - CCMC G-4

 

from the webside, found that

 

SG Obsolete For model year 1993 and older engines

 

The CCMC specifications were G (1 to 5) for gasoline, but ACEA replaced CCMC in 1996 primarily to allow for greater read-across in test programs

 

thats means the modul thats i use for my supper 4 last time is old kind of spec??

 

about CD type

 

CD Obsolete Introduced in 1955 for certain naturally aspirated and turbo engines.

 

but from the site,

For diesel oils, the first letter is 'C' (meaning Commercial category, but you can also think of it as Compression ignition)

 

for the most current API spec for gasoline,

 

SM Current For all automotive engines presently in use. Introduced in the API service symbol in November 2004

SL Current For all automotive engines presently in use. Introduced in the API service symbol in 1998

 

for the most current ACEA spec for gasoline,

 

# A1 Fuel Economy Petrol

# A2 Standard performance level

# A3 High performance and / or extended drain

 

from the user manual pg 8-1, recommanded engine oil are API service SE, SF, SG or higher @ SAE 10W-40, 15W-40 or 20W-40, without anti-friction modifier/addictive (which will normally lable as "ENERGY CONSERVING II")

 

i wonder what brand of engine oil have API SM or SL between SAE 10W-40 and SAE 20W-40 but without anti-friction modifier??
