Hello there bros! i got a few questions regarding riding scramble bike... even though i havent got my license yet...

my first question is how you all guys carry bags or stuff wif your bikes? i noe adding a bike box to it is insult to the scramble...i got a backpack, DSLR camera & laptop...so i was wondering is there any method to secure them safely on the bike?

Also what are the maintainence required on scramble bikes & cornering for such bike is it difficult? i myself is a mountain bike cyclist...one of the reason why i like scramble, so i know during rainy days the road will be slippery for x-trail tyres.

Lastly, my height is 172cm. wondering am i able to land my both feet on the ground. So far the scrambles i seen and like it quite much is tricker & XR125, i noe XR125 price is around $4000...anyone noe the tricker price?

thank you very much in advance :cheeky:

haiya u cannot make a sweeping statement like putting a box is an insult to scramblers..... You know how many scrambler riders here have a box on their thumpers ?

my bike has a 45L givi box if you actually know how big it is. Well of course no box looks nicer but i rather have convenience over coolness. Serious, you cant have the best of both worlds.

Since for ur case, you are lugging arnd some sensitive stuff den i would suggest a backpack lor but of course with a box its much easier, can put raincoat and helmet.

Tricker got 200cc and below one meh ? i tot the tricker only comes in 250 ? anyway if its 250cc, den you have to get ur class2a licence first.

well i happen to be a short fella at 1.65 and i'm riding a Motard without any problems depite havin to tiptoe around like a kuku. Hmmm maintainance is pretty normal lor. Performance comes with a price.

If you wan a faster bike den be prepared to pay for more maintainance. simple as that.

get a wr instead of a XR 125. cheaper and more power.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

hahaha! the coolness of the scrambler is gone if adding a box...just like asking me to put a front basket in my mountain bike...haiz...headache over choosing between a scrambler which i like it so much...or for the sake of carrying my stuff ard i had to drive a phantom which can install 3 bike boxes...but i am skinny...driving a phantom looks weird...:giddy:

hmm if u put a box. with all ur expensive stuff inside.. chances of getting stolen are high.. but u can get those racks type.. when u wanna go blink blink at some where take out the box. going to work/school. got to put stuff inside then attach the box to it..

look at blinkaz bike.. the red xr125.. with the rack.. i m mentioning something like his...

Slow nevermind.... Pattern must be nice.... Bike must be BLING...

put your expensive stuff in your box is definately a no no..

even bikes get stolen, your box can be easily forced open..

if your bag with laptop and camera is too heavy, just let your bag have lots of slack such that it can rest on your seat can alr..

i do get ur point but there is no win-win situation unless u get a scrambler styled touring bike like a GS1200, V-Strom, African Twin etc.

If u wan coolness den ok lor no box den but you'll regret it when u have to lug ur helmet arnd and ur backpack around.

i'm skinny and short lar still riding DRZ lols, kns worst my drz got big box. its true that laptop and ur camera might be too heavy for ur box and anyway box can be forced open anytime. its better to use a backpack.

i ride a street style bike. it came with a super large box but i removed it.. i carry a backpack around; usually with a laptop inside it too. i ever carried more than 5kg in my bag before. really fat but its not a prob at all. just tighten the bag strap as close as you as possible. if there's a pillion then get him/her to carry it. if not you can carry it opposite way (in front) and rest it on e fuel tank. totally not a prob too..

allow some slack for the bag to rest on your pillion seat so you wont really feel its weight. as for locking your helmet to your bike. most bikes have ready installed helmet locks. if not you can get a pad lock yourself. try to get the longer one so you can lock more than 1 helmet.

another tip for you. if you want to carry an extra helmet and you dont have a box to store it and you dont want to leave it hanging around your forearm. another way is to hook it around one of your belt stap then let it rest on your fuel tank.

that's how i solve all those problems. all the best for your bike tp.

have you wondered what would be the consequence if it rains and u leave ur helmet locked to the bike ?

weather nowadays is damn erratic and unpredictable. on hindsight, its actually quite predictable lar. kns it keeps raining during noon and evenin time. grrrr hahha

Just wondering. Is there any storage compartment on scram? Like under the seat or smtg.... :cheeky:

i dont think so. bikes with fuel tanks like mine dont usually have storage compartments below their seats.

Juz wondering, I found out that many scram owners does nt install rear view mirror on their bikes. I know that some ppl think that it's not that nice to have a rear view mirror, but isn't it dangerous no knowing what's happening behind you when you're riding? You guys get what i mean rite???

The faster you go, the harder you'll fall.:box: :

well its personal preference i would say. for me i would need my 2 mirrors, i use them pretty often and it would help alot during ur riding.

well some use one side to look good. well its illegal to ride without mirrors though but if you just have one side, TPs would usually close one eye
