By the way guys... I did the pair valve mod. What the pair valve does is pump hot air back into the airbox when decelerating. It's for colder countries la. But that's what causes the backfire after we changed pipes.

 

Now no backfire and better throttle response when opening right after closing. Smoother also.

 

Say bro, u block the hose from the airbox and link direct both "sucker" dead?

But I like the backfire leh. PING! Pang! PONG!

Im not a good knowledge in bike but since we are frens here so i share what I do when runing in a new bike.

Dont let ur fren ride the bike. I'm not being an S, frens get excite and rev hard liking to hear it roar.

Dont rev hard. Let it purr like a cat. Not roar. Wait time time is right.

Do Not rev hard as to not to scratch virgin stuff inside till it smooth out.

So no wheelies..

Run all gears. To run From N,1...6...1,N. Ride and change gear with smooth rev flow.

I not too sure at wat rev just let it flow easy.

To let All the craps inside smooth out, chipping off raw metal.

So use minaral base oilu. not synthetic oilu for 1st (for me 1st n 2nd).

Do avoid highway. As we only use high gears.

Dont over wash or over polish ur bike. too many later too shiny ...hahahaaa

naa.. just too much polish damage the paint.

Take as many photos...Enjoy it as virgin.

Later ur bike will change from time to time.. u'll see.

nc39 got it pretty much covered. Mainly dun over rev the bike. run thru all the gears in order to break in all the factory parts so they seat seamlessly with each other. U can hard run in on a dyno also la but that one abit heng sway. I dun really NEED more performance from a litre bike, so I'd rather do traditional run in to get it longer lasting n more fuel efficient.

kawa parts is abit difficult get if go for major servicing, and also kawa market value in SG is rather low compare to neighbor country.

 

Kawa is a very nice & good bike to ride no doubt on that, but in SG market context is abit difficult to command a reasonable price when compare with Yamaha n Honda.

 

Honestly, if you buy Kawa 1st hand and intend to sell within 3yrs then is better to buy 2nd hand, reason is after 3yrs at most is break even. If intend to ride for 1 to 2 years then getting 2nd is much more cheaper.

 

I m a Kawa rider but i always understand this theory, i always advise my fren to ride for shiok n fun get 2nd hand cos when u want to sell is easy, if buy 1st hand even COi also not easy.

Yea man. Now should be 3 mths. But not all parts la. If u talking about gaskets or bearings they should have ready stock. U give them a call on mon and ask?

j, I got to know tis brudder, he's from JB.

Talk to him, n he have OR working in a shop in Batu Pahat somtin like tat. cant remember.

He's riding ZX10. I asked him abt kawa parts he says no problem there.

So I said in SG parts are difficult, he said jus money only.

and he says SG is 200 SGD as in MY is abt 200 RM.

I said if i go there with my plate no. then price will be diff, he grin abit.

So cut short he gave me his card. Asking me if I wana sell my bike. hmm...?

Any1 noe abt e I-Con fuel mapping thing? (am I saying it rite, I-CON)

lost4love has the I-CON thing. May be u can ask him. I saw his 1 b4 and i believe it is a good stuff, but not sure how much is it.. looks expensive

 

His bike is damn awesome, the sound itself already can make u orgasm!

 

In the near future i believe the Kawi market in SG is getting better.

 

For Honda, they only have the CBR600 n CBR 1000 that is 'sell-able'. The VFR is turely UGLY and over priced. They dont even want to bring in the CB1000R becos of the price (unless u want to buy the over priced PI). So sport bikes aside, there r no other choice for Honda..

 

For Yamaha, the Fazer is good but already lost its edge. Its already 5yr old in design and tech. Unless they come out a newly design and tech fazer. If not i dont think they have anything can match with the z1000. Unless u want a R1 or R6.

 

For Kawi, not only the z1000 is good. The up coming z1000sx is the true evolution. It so prefect that it have EVERYTHING that a biker can ask for. It beats a fazer in every way!

 

So what is left? Only those very expensive euro bikes.. As for jap bikes, Kawi already out shine others. As i said if Yamaha dont re-design their very popular Fazer, soon enough u will see it taken over by the Z1000SX.

 

If our dear agent Evershine can do a better job, i'm sure Kawi brand is SG will have a bright future!

 

Btw, i'm planing to ride this baby for long. I'm not sure how long but i'm very sure will not be less than 3 yrs...
