Great! The last launch party I went for was Triumph's street triple launch. Ages ago!

I agree, CB1000R is awesome. The Brutale not my kind of bike. But it seems to have made an impression on the rest. Test ride next week.

Let me us know the 848 launch. We Z riders love to gate crash.

Vince is arranging for the parts to be sent to Singapore. If that doesn't work out, I will be driving up next Saturday morning to collect it. Will let you know by Wednesday.

Didn't know they can be posted, I am collecting mine today. Btw how much you guys paid for the gasket? They quoted RM195 for the 6x cam bolt gasket, 1x cam cover gasket and 2x spark plug gasket. Approx $80. I will be ordering the Hotcam valve shim kit approx USD110 and doing the valve clearance myself.

No, not posted. A friend of Man's (Motormatic) works in Yishun. Man said he can pass the stuff to this guy. Our order came to RM435 (2 sets)

Hmm, forgot about the valve shim kit

You guys order the o-ring for the side cover? I intend to reuse the old one.

I just called Man to confirm my order as he was confused my orders with yours. :)

Are you guys going to DIY the valve clearance if so maybe we can swop the shims and share the cost of the valve shim kit to save some $$?

Yup, we ordered the o-ring, just in case the old one gets screwed up. No plans for me DIY my bike. I think Vince is also sending to his mech.

I will be driving to Motormatic to collect the stuff on Saturday morning. Let me know if you want me to collect your parts as well. Will PM you my number

Hi guys. Some unfortunate news. Our dear fellow Zedian, Bon Sri and his wife has been involved in an accident. Some of us are going to visit him at 4pm today at TTSH. Anyone else who wants to visit, do contact me or Remy for ward details.

Bro thanks for helping to collect the parts from motormatic.

Btw I plan to order the 7.48mm Hotcam refill kits (2.70-2.95mm) and (3.00 to 3.25mm), 5 of ea size increments of 0.05mm total 120shims.

For any size not within the range can order from FJT, they are the Sudco dealer in SG.

You want to share the cost of the kit with me, as the OEM shims are very expensive.

http://www.procycle.us/hotcams/valve_shims.htm

Total cost: USD71.90(2 refill kit) + USD34(postage) = USD105.90

if share among you, vince and myself its approx USD36ea.
