Someone fiddled with my bike!

Hi all, I started my bike this morning and found my headlight switch was off. I never off my switch, ever!

 

Checked brakes, brakelights, headlights-low/high beam, blinking lights, clutch, petrol but nothing wrong.

 

Then on expressway, I suddenly discovered my speedometer needle wasn't working. cos of the rain, I couldn't see whether the mileage numbers were moving. but my needle was definitely at zero all the way, even when i revved the engine.

 

what could have happened to my bike, anyone can help me with this?

check the line from your speedo meter, izit disconnected?

maybe ur speedometer cable snapped.

it was functioning perfectly well yesterday night when i rode home.

think some1 sabotage ur cable.. if so.. change a new 1 it would't cost alot

it might have jus broke off, its wear & tear. my suddenly stopped workng at night when i went back home from work, it was still ok when i went to work tht day

What bike are u riding? Guess all bikes are the same.. U try tighten the screw/nut connecting to your speedometer.. See if it works.. If not working, Guess u gonna get a new pcs of it.. Switching off the lights ONLY might be the doings of some young kids.. Cuz given the sentence that u've stated, ONLY headlight and Speedometer, I guess who will be so free to disturb the speedo cable unless ur's is expose openly to the public.. Unless they really got nothing better to do..
