Hit and run accident

Hi riders, I would like to seek some help and guidance from fellow riders regarding my hit and run accident.

 

On 26 June 2013 as I was riding from sims ave slip road towards PIE changi at 2.55am. I was hit by a vehicle traveling at high speed from my right side. he swerve into my lane while trying to overtake me and ran off.

 

I was admitted to hospital immediately suffering 11 sever multiple abrasion from face to toe and 7 stitches to the forehead. This was what happen which I would like to seek advice from fellow riders.

 

At 4am+ my IO( investigation officer) called me up say why did I hit another vehicle and abounded my vehicle along the expressway. So I told him it was I who have been hit and run. At 5am+ called him again and he told me from CCTV I self skid from my bike. Still I insist that I was being hit and run, finally at 7am+ called him again and told me another CCTV do show that I was being hit and run. From what I conclude the IO is trying to close case to make me self confess I cause my own accident and still have the cheek to say self skid only fine and 6 points.

 

After 1 week I went down to ubi tp and met up with him with my bandage face to toe and he said that looks like I'm the victim and investigation will be done by him. So I call him 3 time in the month of July and this IO failed to watch the CCTV and told me he was busy with other things. He said that previously it was his 'friend' who watch that CCTV and so I need to wait for him(IO) when he is free he have to watch it personally.

 

So after 1 month of investigation I finally receive a letter stated that I was hit by unknown motorcar and investigation did not produce any result and no further action will be taken. Recently I was recovered slightly able to walk. I went back to accident area and back track. I found 4 cameras up to my accident area which is just 2M above lamp pole clearly showed that it can captured everything clearly. My dad went to the accident area about 1 or 2 weeks later there was no signboard to appeal for withness regarding my accident. This IO however failed to do his job and all my injuries, bike, lost of job I must suffer myself.

 

I need help I hope riders can tell me what I should do and if any withness please report to police.

Get the IO's name and complain. From what I've seen, some IOs are lazy, have a million and one excuses to not do their job. Watch video also so hard meh? First of all he lied about you self skidding. Shows what a lazy mofo he is to begin with, certain things can close one eye but not when you're dealing with lives and rice bowl.

I would lodge a complaint to the higher-ups about this incapable officer if I were you. Can't even bother to watch a 30 second video in one month. Thats bloody ridiculous.

Other then MP I wish to complain to a TP in charge who can address my case again and I want justice to be serve to the driver, he cannot be Scott free after landing me into this plight.

When I went down to ubi TP I told him that he should back track to get the road till shell station and he can get the vehicle number. He just say to me that he know what to do, he was not interested to what I have to say to him regarding the accident. I was very disappointed with his attitude as I went all the way with my injuries to see him. On that day of the accident when I was in hospital he talk in a very scarstic tone that I caused my own accident, and when I went down to ubi he said sorry about that. He said that common case is that motorist traveling there at that hour that timing are drink drivers and cause of accident. So he conclude mine as one and hope to close the case by saying I self skid. If so, i have to bring this matter up and hope justice to be done.

Well, went to MP and MP said that all they can do was to lodge a complain against the IO. My main concern here is not about the IO but about nabbing the driver. Well, good luck and hope TP will address my case soon
