Hi everyone, I've been riding my cbr150 for a year since i passed my TP. Its a great bike, good FC, cheap and easy to maintain, powerful pickup. Problem is now COE left 1 year till 2014. I'm in a dilemma, with this 2 choices:

1) Ride finish den scrap?

2) Sell now and buy a cub kia?

I need more help with info from seniors here:

- if scrap bike end of COE, how much $$ can get back?

- if sell now, how much $$ to offer, bike in good condition, used daily.

- my budget less than $2k, can get wat 2b bike? i prefer with box, good FC, 4 stroke, think probably x1, sld buy from motodiam or direct owner? can give roughly average price?

- if i need a big box that can fit 2 helmets, wer to buy and install for my cbr150?

If bike is still in good condition, why not just renew COE and keep on riding lor.

Else, can try posting in Used Bike Sale page.

Top boxes can get almost at any motorshop. Want cheap cheap good good for 2 helmets then its the 52l boxes you should get. Try ahboy. Else, can scout inside the forums or on the net. You might just get lucky.

Go to Ah Boy shop for box, I got mine on last month as

well suit for 2 openface helmet (Not sure the name, it's like japanese name, damn now my bike is sit on workshop due to accident) 65$ and Rack 60$ including installation fees. It's not quite easy to fit rack on our bike.

COE can't be renew next 10 year? Mine will be end on 2015 but renewable one time.

4stroke 2B sporty, price range 2000 , i only seen CBR :D

my suggestion is get a bigger bike(class 2a) cauz if u put a big box on a small bike it looks kinda weird. also the power will still be there. a bigger bike is always more stable (going straight or cornering). the only trade-off is the maintenance and fuel cost. probably 500-600 more per year. (taking into account petrol, servicing, wear and tear)

it doesn sound like you have any desire to upgrade.

in which case, given a budget of 2k, why do you want to change bike instead of simply renewing coe?

is it because somehow feel itchy for a change of bike? i can understand this feeling, but a budget of 2k, you not going to get anything better than another cbr150 with just a few more years of coe than your current. wats the point then? especially if you feel that the only other kind you can buy is a cub but you already feel like it wont make you happy.

the way i see it, it only makes sense to either renew coe, or save some more or pay instalment for the latest model cbr150 or r15 or something.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

currently looking at a few 07 or 08 x1r at shops see if they offer trade in and installment, more exp i noe but at least mthly payments.

i see a few going at $3.6k i try to nego, probably mkt price is $3k for direct owners i think...
