At Planet, sometimes they are forgetful. When I was there, a Super 4 just finished servicing and about to go, when the owner saw a spanner still on the bike. hohoho!!!!

Panjang @ planet caused my bike to be overhauled!!

asked him to check my bike b4 going for a trip last 2 wks.. serviced brakes change eo etc.. asked him to check my plugs too.. he claimed was ok and bike was fit to go...

Alas at the end of the trip, my plugs were busted, it crumbled to pieces, ah chong claimed that it was the plugs fault.. a well known 3 letter brand and said shldnt have used that plug as he even dunt sell it. Nw my bike needs to be overhauled as the top block suffered blows from the spoilt plugs... amts to almost 1K

my dissappointment is that the mech said he didnt take out the plugs b4 my trip to check on it just start up to hear if the plugs were ok... )(*&^%$@#$% if he really physically checked the plugs and i know dat it was that particular brand, wld have insisted to have it changed.. nw instead of a mere $30 to change plug i have to fork out a bloody 1K.

this may sound like a bad review but irony my bike nw is at planet for overhaul haha.. shrugs who's to be blame? sheer luck...

just wanna express my feelings hahah..

I feel your pain bro...

hmm...about this particular brand...never really heard of it until I saw some adverts of it on the Moto Culture Asia(MCA) mag.

Well, in one of the thread, someone mentioned it is actually a locally made or badged product.

Personally, I would still stick to the brands I normally used, like NGK or Denso for plugs. And Maxima for E.O.

Has anyone heard of the other locally made spark plug that broke also? I think it was some time ago.

Heard from Ah Chong, he DIY a tool to take out the screwed plugs. The damage done to the engine probably would have cost the owner quite a bit... :(

Locally made does not mean it is not good. But I rather stick with 'branded' stuff when it comes to my bike.

for ur info,

i believed that particular brand that he was using... the "XYZ" brand...

was originally from germany at the start they came in contact with bike stuffs..

but after some time.. due to some issues ( which i m not able to say here)

they switched the products to other model.. which is already not made in germany as they themselves do not have a germany based industrial factory..

juz do some research n u can find that alot of things they used.. are actually from another cheaper branding.. the starting products they sold were ( not including the eo).. but now, nope..

now i dun even know where their spark plugs came from.. maybe taiwan or china... their eo from another cheapo branding.. ( if u guys got $$ go buy the eo pour out n do tests).. den u will know..

wat u guys pay for, are only their high advertisement fees n repackaging fees..

i dun trust their products all the while, but after touching on some automobile products, i start to know their "true colors"

somemore, their staffs dun even know about their products well, or have any certifications on their products, which made me doubt even more..

they are only good salesmen..

lol

juz my 2cents

That one is free gift!

lol.. i still rmb ah chong like to put his phone into ppl's bike's rear seat.. den last min he say "wait wait wait!!", open up ur pillion seat n retrieve his phone.. haahaa...

Suck it n ride!

48th Time at Planet!

28/12/2009

04:10pm

Weather: Just finished raining.

Mood: :)

After X-Raying my left hand at Tan Tock Seng, I went over to Planet to get my DR800 the Engine oil change needed.

Tried the Motul 5100 15W50. Paid to Ah Chong's daughter again.

Very cute little girl, I showed her the bottle, told her 1 bottle $16, still must go to the shelf see. And then .... .... cannot find the price! Then find already, told her it's $48 she very blur, then explained it's 3 bottles! So cute!

Planet was pretty busy as usual. The oil change took 1 hour plus!

But I did get to ask Ah Chong what the numbers meant. The 15W50 means the 15 is the freezing temperature for the oil. Well, don't have to worry about that is Singapore! :D The 50 is the thickness of the oil. Suprisingly the bigger the number, the thinner the oil.

When I was there, I met Rylche & friend and AhCai Biker & Bro.

I Kay Po a bit open their side panel to see if got tool kit, then bent my allen key.

While I was there, I also realised my Signal light was not blinking, so DIY trouble shoot, think the wire inside broken liao, when bend no light, straighten got light.

So straighten the wire and stuffed it back! Kee! Kee!:cheeky:

Then brought Ah Cai's brother to the key shop to get a new key for his box at Jalan Besar and went for Chong Pang Nasi Lemak after that. :hungry:

Thanks for the drinks. :D

And thanks for the parking your bike besides mine, because on the way out from the stoney gravel ground, I dropped bike, and the bike's handle bar landed on your cushion! hahaha! First time drop bike got soft landing one.

So didn't touch the ground at all. :D Phew! And also very 'Heng' didn't land on your fuel tank.

The higher the number the thicker the oil. 15W dont have to worry in our local climate like u said, it actually means 15 'Winter'.

49th time at Planet!

25/02/2010

01:30pm

Weather: Good

Mood: I miss my Planet!

Went to Planet after depositing a poster for a project at Trinity Church, just nice Planet was near. And My Little Predator Phantom was also just 46km away from his oil change, so just pop into Planet to do it! :D

When I was there, also changed the Airfilter and after recommedation from "San Wei" changed the sparkplug, because the outside of it was getting rusty.

This Ah Chong as usual got some cold jokes.

When I was there, Ah Chong was pushing a Super 4 out 1/2 way through the oil change, so I straighten my bike for him to squeeze through, then Ah Chong said "K.N.N Never bang your bike, I was aiming for the "turtle" (Alien pic) sidebox"

Then when I was smsing another forum member to collect my GoPro helmet cam, this Ah Chong said "No need to call, I am here!" Si Bei the nonsense!

Then when I was paying I wished Ah Chong "Good Health and Properous Business" :) and he gave me $1 discount!

I LOVE MY PLANET! :thumb:

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

hi planet regulars here. Like to check with u guys something. Last week i sent my bike to planet for repair(met with accident), thus doin insurance claim thru ah chong an planet. I went over to see the status of my bike today but its not there. Was told by ah chong n ah peng tat coz its claim case, the bike was sent to elsewhere for repair. I would prefer planet's mech to do the repair as i trusted ah chong.

Does any1 here knows where was my bike sent to?
