Rebuilt cost about $200

Lousy sus cost less than $500

Good ones cost about 1k

So do your math :smile:

 

After rebuilt ur sus will be better than lousy ones maybe even beter than good ones

I thought springs from reputable brands are colour coded to represent the stiffness?

 

Maybe black - soft, red - medium, yellow - hard?

hi , any guyz out there know how to dismantle the suspension ? thinking of DIY adding a spacer into the suspension.. anyone ? thkx in advance...

i need urgent and professional help... sometimes when my bike moves over a certain kind of uneven road or a small hole on the road . i heard a loud "pop" sound from the suspension or the front part of it . anyone experienced tis b4 ? my bike is only 5 months plus. plz help .....

Try some trouble shooting urself.... try to move ur fork up n down when ur bike is stationary.... c gt any sound anot... check if anything loose or anything rubbing against each other anot.....

Just wondering if i want to adjust the setting of the rear suspension to the next height,must we pay the motordiam to do it or issit free???cos i think my rear suspension is jacked up a little bit too high for me. :confused:

ypu can actually do it yourself ...

the only difference when you do that is to harden or soften your suspension setting.

NSR 150SP; Super 4 Spec I; CBR 929; GSX 750; R 1150 GS; Piaggio X8

for the stock showa shocks i think the only adjustment u can do to it urself is the preloads. u should have a c tool in ur standard tool kit to do it

Adjust it myself.But i've misplaced that "C" tool.ANy idea whether must i pay if i were to go to motordiam to adjust?? :confused:

it's just a simple thing. dun think they will charge u for it. unless it's those kind of 'cat' motordiams prolly charge u $2 or something. just go borrow one and do it lar

Hi All "Old birds" got a Qn on suspension abt spec2...

Do all spec2 suspension feel spongy or very sensitive? i could feel every bounce :bounce: on unlevel tarmac...making me feeling very uncomfortable and unsafe at high speed... do u guys experience this? pls advise .... Thanks

try to harden it?

think there are 5 levels of hardness...

inside the tool kit there is a tool 2 harden suspension...
