I may have someone who will be able to go to the local tw shop there to buy all the stuffs and then ship back to sg.

Some of the more valuable stuff I can think of is like the belt ($250+ here vs $1xx+ there) and aftermarket parts like the clutch or drop in performance filter.

No promises but you all can PM me your wishlist so I can consolidate a list.

I don't know if you can store the unused belt for long duration. During the time I went to view the Downtown when it was just released, the salesperson mentioned that the belt can be used for estimated duration of 2 years before it requires to be changed.

Anyway do update if you able to do the mass purchase. I wish to buy the HiT clutch too. By the way, does it comes with the Dr Pulley sliders as well? Thanks in advance Ben!

I think the salesperson referring to 2 years of use. According to DT300i manual the belt can last 20,000KM. But usually before that will change because performance will deteriorate.

Although I have not got (order) my ad3. Please count me in too for the purchase of Dr. Pulley clutch too. I am not good with bike. So any recommendations (default) on the parts on the spring, weight etc. I trusted you guys on the configuration. I don't mind paying upfront once confirmed.

Those who are thinking of buying the OEM stainless steel floorboard cover, it's $51 per piece and will make the floor a little higher..

Yes Bro, where can we get the floor board? $51 per piece, so $102 per set (pair)?

Guys, double check on warranty please.........

I think probably the warranty will be void.

After reading about this Dr. Pulley thing, I did some google search about this product. A lot of positive feedback but also some negative one which involved in re building the engine. :(

Currently there is a 2 years old SYM overhauling the engine at NW. The engine was damaged by a premature broken belt at 5000km.

The bike was using after market pulley/roller system.

I think I'll probably will try this Dr. Pulley only when the system due for replacement.

Roller/slider maybe can affect the belt as it control the variator directly but clutch unlikely unless you set it to extreme setting like launch mode then the belt will get strain and premature life. But dont think it will be rideable if you use such settings as it will be like throw clutch all the time on manual bike. The stock clutch slips like crazy and makes the clutch extremely hot and in some DT300 cases even turn the clutch bell blue color. Pretty sure all that heat isn't healthy for the cvt system.

As for the warranty, the way I see it can be change back within 30 mins if ever have to go back there let them open up the engine. By the time even the belt needs to be replaced the warranty would have been surely over.

At the end of the day before it turns into a sales pitch, I would say each to his own and I will recommend this for ppl who like to tinker a bit or like me is unsatisfied with how the bike hesitates on acceleration. I have done my previous scooters' cvt in similiar fashion without issue and can see the value in this situation where the stock component fail to even meet standard expectation.

I'm very pleased with my purchase so just share with you all.

Mine was missing even before I collected the bike. The design tolerance for that part is on the minus so it drop off easily. I recommend all to secure theirs. I used metallic tape at the rear for mine. Best if use sealant or similar.

Missing before collection?? So u still agree to sign off and collect the bike??

Some weather strip of my rear box also have become loose. very poor workmanship.

Luckily I managed to spot it in time before signing the forms. Asked for a replacement on the spot.

Hey Ben,

Good thing to have people like you who care to share, but the warranty issue was just to pre-empt fellow members to watch out for it.

When the warranty issue comes up, many sellers try to void it ,by giving all sorts of stupid excuses.....I ahd this experience before , and it was over

a spark plug issue and when they found out I used a third party high performance plug, they said they would void the warranty, I created a storm over it and was just 1 step away from calling the police......it was that bad.

Just a reminder and going forward, how does a leopard change it spots?

Believe me, after going through this thread, no matter how much you LOVE the AD3, bring an extra pair of spectacles and magnifying glass PLEASE!

I would have flipped!!!if I bought a new bike and have to "repair'" at home.......:slapforehead:
