Ordered my AD3 through M1 at least 1.5 months back, bike was already there but I couldn't get the number plate I wanted. Hence have been waiting since last 3 days for bike shop to let my bike out with any new number plate. See all fellow AD3 on the road (=

I think most of the AD3 riders encounter this problem of putting down the AD3 from main stand from a smooth or slippery floor of the mscp. I tried out two methods and they work great!

First method is by using the half of the discarded rubber matt from cars, placed directly under main stand before engaging the scooter upright. When bringing the scooter down from mainstand, the AD3 will not slide forward with the mainstand. The down side is you have to keep the rubber matt in your bike.

The second method is when the AD3 is already on mainstand, we engage the side stand down and move to the right of the scooter. Depressed the front brake lever then lift the AD3 forward. Once the scooter is going forward released the front lever slightly, when the AD3 is down depressed the front brake to stop the scooter from going further. Then slowly lean the scooter to the left to rest on the side stand. Practice makes perfect do it a few times if are not confident enough, thanks for reading.

Anyway andre couldn't make it to the whampoa coffeeshop, as I am doing nightshift work, I apologise

for not replying the wattsapp group chat. Very busy at this time of the year, cheers for all AD3 rider, a Happy and Prosperous New Year ahead for all fellow brothers...:cheer::cheer::cheer:

Thanks for sharing :)

For me, I'll stand at the left side of the bike, use my left foot to block the main stand, left hand at handlebar, right hand at the grab bar and lean the body to the left to bring down the bike. (with or without side stand down, if side stand down, just careful that your leg not to be caught by it.)

Once the bike down, use left hand to control the rear brake to prevent the bike roll forward.

No problem if can't meet up, we are always there. :) Come down when you're free.

Happy new year. :cheer:

Tried your method, very effective! Now I know where to place my footing, thanks again andre...

Don't mention bro, just sharing experiences.

Some can do it by stepping on the main-stand extension so when the bike down, they can control the main stand's spring up motion.

ADtre is quite heavy, it is about 215kg dry weight.

On straight road, the bike is much stable then 2 wheelers but must be very careful when parking and making tight corner turn at MSCP and U-turn.

There are some owners with small build and ok with the bike but suggest you try out the bike first.

Hi

Will e bike b too heavy for a lady?? Height is 1.62m. Alright for p plate 2b???

Not the best bike for a newbie as it comes with a steeper learning curve but the experience of this unique three wheeler is unparalleled by other bikes.

You have to try it for yourself to judge.

questions: what happens when the roof is deployed, and you fall from the bike while on the road? for a normal bike, most people can easily just stand or jump away from the bike, but with the roof, will the rider get trapped by the roof and fall to the ground and thus injure oneself?

In theory yes.

The roof of Adiva is quite fragile. It won't break for normal uses but incase of emergency, it won't be able to support your body weight.

Chances when the bike skated, and you dropped from the bike, the roof probably will break and you won't be trap inside.

Hi guy, this is Ching. I am looking forward to buy an AD3 -200cc, but I am holding back by the price, maintenance and also on the fuel consumption. Is this bike expensive to ride for daily 60km? Thank you for viewing and appreciate for your advise.

Hi Ching,

Maintenance of AD3;

1) every 5000km, change 1.3l of E.O., 1pc oil filter, 130cc of gear oil. Oil filter cost $15 per pc.

2) every 20000km, change air filter @ $29.00, belt & roller @ about $400.

3) Fuel consumption about 24km/l.

Ty Andre, appreciate for the information. I have to do some more calculation. Hope the next Coe will not rise.
