Hi s1ncr0w, don't really understand your question.

I only briefly rode a MP3 for few days, therefore, can't exactly compare the 2.

However, if you were referring to ride comfort, MP3 fare better. AD3 front suspension is quite stiff.

Stability wise, I think AD3 will be more stable then MP3 but not sure about the MP3 LT.

Sorry for the troublesome questions, just one more. How does the pillion get in with the roof up/installed? I have a clumsy wife. Hehe

Hi s1ncr0w, yes, ADtre can do the same.

Normally, I'll put down the side stand, hold the bike and let pillion get in first.

Similarly during alighting, I'll put side stand and get out first then let the pillion alight.

Hi all,

 

Been reading up on this forum and just paid my deposit for an AD-3 200cc! However, Mah says now no stock so waiting for about 2 to 3 weeks for next shipment. So, while waiting, just wana say a little HiHi and hope to get to know u all better and understand the bike more as this is my 1st scooter. =D

Hi Elwin, welcome to the group. I am a first time scooter rider too. Just take it easy, ride slow, to get the hang of the scooter. Do take note it has a rather wide turning radius. In short, if u want to U turn, give the scooter plenty of space to complete the turn. Anyway, congrats on yr new purchase. Hope u get yr new toy soon. Cheers.

I discovered the rear brake rather hot after a ride. The brake hose leading to the rear brake caliper is quite warm due to heat transfer. I stuck 2 pcs of skid protectors between the hose and the frame (at the 2 contact points).

The heat is from the exhaust. Pillion always complains the right leg very hot.

Also the rear brake line always rub against the swing arm, it is a good idea to put the skid protector.

Alternatively, I mount the brake line clip the other away so that the brake line stay away from the frame.

I am a lady rider and is looking at getting my 1st bike. I have a few qns, hope some of u can help to answer:

 

1. When e bike stop at traffic light, do i need to put down my feet to prevent it from falling?

2. For ADtre 200, what is the current price now?

3. Is it high in maintenance?

4. Will e bike b too heavy for lady? (I had seen a lady rider in white ADtre on expressway before n i find it cool n safe to have one.)

Hi Byby,

 

All your questions had been answered in earlier thread.

 

1) ADtre does not has the tilt lock mechanism, therefore you need to put down your leg when stop.

2) ADtre 200 I think is about $15k plus base on current COE and depend on your insurance. Currently, understand no stock for ADtre 200. May be you could consider the resale market. Currently there is 1 in the used bike section.

3) The maintenance cost is similar to any other scooter and Mah is fully supporting this model and they're pricing the spare parts very competitively. They also extended the warranty to 2 years with unlimited mileage.

4) The bike is very heavy, 215kg dry wet. Currently, there are at least 7 lady owners of ADtre. Some of them can handle the bike quite well, some found it is too heavy for them. So it depends on individual, best if you can try the bike yourself first.

 

Come to the event on 26 July at Big splash @ ECP, so you can feel and try the bike and talk to existing owners to know more about the bike.
