Use WinRAR. It is a more powerful program than WinZip and encompasses many types of common zip files, and even uncommon ones. Sorry I forgot the URL, just search for WinRAR online.

If you have problem getting Winrar, you can also try Winzip. Can ask around your colleagues whether they have Winzip at home or in their office PC. Coz Winzip is such a common software , most people should have it. Ask them to unzip for you and transfer to a thumb drive.

 

Winzipping is not encoding it, it merely lump all different files into 1 big file and compressing it to a much smaller size for speedier internet delivery thru emails etc. Its something very useful that lots of people have it.

WinRAR encompasses WinZip and is a better program overall. WinZip is just more user-friendly. I much prefer WinRAR since it reads a lot more zip file-types.
