No, I don’t think it’s advisable to change the height.

I spoke to Joe today and he gave me a walkthrough on the Tamburini. He went to the factory for the course, and he seems to know this bike quite well.

The bike is very easy to maintain, but 3 things you have to look out for.

1. The seat height adjustment. Can’t remember what he said about it. Something about changing the geometry. Must be done right.

2. The chain tension. The tension must be checked while it’s on the … I can’t remember what you call that thing that props up the bike by the rear wheel, not while both wheels are on the floor.

3. The adjustments you make on the back on the swingarm must be done with a torque screw. If it’s too tight, it will cause the rear wheel bearings to heat up and expand, locking the rear wheel.

These 3 things could cause accidents if serviced by someone who is not trained.

Also for new bikes, if you see some green oil leaking onto the fairing, do not panick. That is the oil from the air filter that has trickled down from it’s own weight due to unuse.

Oh dear..... so complicated........

Really cracking my head now....

Well, will have 2 seek more advice b4 doing anything....

Frankly, I do not know who Joe is, thanks for your help of introducing him to me. Perhaps would like to meet up with him to know more abt this bella.

BBT event? Wat event is tat btw....

Mine is the F4 biposto 750 1+1 2001 model

Ah nice. U got yourself the F4 750. $25K, not a bad deal.

Was at Minerva the other day and took a look at the F4 1000. The owner put on some stickers to make it look like an Ago. Going for $37K, so I heard. Dunno if it's been sold yet.

Thing is, I would never dare to get this sorta bike 'cos I tend to whack my bike hard on the track or on M'sian roads and sh1t could happen. In fact, I've already dropped my bike on the track once 'cos I was pushing my luck too far.

It would be very painful on the wallet to drop a bike like an F4. Even worse, heart pain comes 'cos you know that once you drop it, and even after you repair it, the fact remains that it has been dropped. Virgin no more.

I dropped my 999, and that F41000 at Minerva has signs its been dropped before too.

Believe me, it doesn't feel good, and the flashbacks still come back weeks later.

But then again, the scratches, dirt, mud and all that are signs that the bike is being used, instead of just being kept under wraps. :thumb:

The F4's seat is prettymuch a solid rubber mat already, I don't know if it can be lowered anymore. But the suspension, like the 916, has suspension independent adjustable ride-height (Suspension settings are not affected by ride height changes).

Be careful when adjusting it though, the lower link's lock bolt has a reverse thread. I've heard many horror stories of it getting rounded.

Guys, appreciated for the comprehensive info & advices. Well, I have been long for a rare italian bike for a long time and was comtemplating whether to go for it fearing that I may not able to tame her. The tots of the expensive spare parts somewat also adds to my hestitation putting the negative tots behind my mind if ever I will to drop her..... not gona be cheap to get the parts replaced......

My main concern is the height of the bike, thou I can ride her with tip toe but then I ever experienced afew foot slips on oil patch & fearful from then onwards. Its kinda psychologically reaction tat I'll step on oil patch again and drop the bike eventually.... cant help for such tots......:help:

I agreed with nEO, its not gona feel good if the bike have flaws.... even scratches.. i use to be very conscious abt the outlook especially if its new, then tings get seasoned and have learn to get over it "Kan Kai' liao....

I'll try not to think of those negative tots, guess the more fearful, the worst it gets... juz have to build up my confidence!

Anyway.. juz to let the guyz who want to own a F4 750 S..

there is one up for grabs.. asking only 25K... its a reasonable deal as i had seen the bike personally. One of the most worth F4 750 S ard i would say.. :thumb:

if u tot of getting one n start putting up the CF to decorate ur F4.. juz get dat and u will be satisfied. Sounds much less mechanical den the F4 1000 S and the RG3 is one head turner.. Its not real comfy but hey man.. its MV Agusta...

Did tot of it but some tings corrupt my mind. Dun let the deal go away. His lost is ur gain... :thumb:

And I dun tink any price lower suits the bike more. Its in perfect nice condition as owner really pamper the bike well.. :lovestruck:

Thks for the compliments dude...
