bought the raceshield,cannot see any visible mark unless you take a very close look.Bro, now 300km and the bike feels better.1st gear move off jerky,need to blast the throttle.But above the 5k rpm the bike breathe easier.Bro take out your bike,too many admirers,mandi ayer bunga.he he

Thanks for the info.

Hmmm was at PG track that time and we used normal scotch tape to tape the all over the headlight and tank and unplug the fuse for headlight/brake light etc.. I thought that'll do the trick. It was damn ugly but who care when you're playing at the track. heh heh heh

 

Probably this sticky thing is for local daily use.. Good idea. Hmmm but what about when washing of the bike? I mean will the wax do any harm to it? Is it able to detach and stick onto it again?

hahaha thats funny.... btw the 5km is what we call surging .... you will face that till you change ur slip-on, mid-pipe and ur ECU.

The only thing that upset me is the front sounds like knocking when braking near to traffic light and over humps. Mech says, it's the brake. Nothing serious.

use a 190/55 to have better cornerring ...... problem solved.

The front brake sounds is comon to stock calipers.

 

You can upgrade them and use Brembo

antonioshabirto's verdict is no doubt on the right track!

 

The "clanking" sound is the result of the free play of the brake pads within the calipers. Although the pads are held by locking pins (yamaha) or locking bolts (honda n most jap makes) via a pre-tension plate, the sound will still be apparent but is not a big issue.

 

As for the Italians, I would not be surprised the "clanking" phenomenon is the same as the jap bike by engineering design meant to be. But then again, i am relative distance from Italian Stallions due to the rarity.

 

I would be more happy to be enlightened on Italaian caliper configurations apart from Brembos on the the big Ds
