Depends on what you deem as unpratical.

First the pros:

If you looking at the type S manual:

- It has a decent 160bhp.

- the car looks cool

- it can still squeeze 2 person behind

- the handling of the car is simply sweet and easy to handle

- full of mods available outside

- fuel economy for a performance car compared with cars with turbo

- easier maintainenece and realiable as car is still NA but with very good potential on the engine.

Cons:

- 2door thus insurance is ex.

- due to weight saving the car is minimal on the sound proof thus noisy

- after mods esp coil over car will start to get uncomfortable for driving till u get use but never for passengers

- mum, inlaws bla will compain your car bumpy and noisy(if u mod exos)

- TP and ROV target cars (like the rexs and evos)

- will get addicted to track as the car is just too sweet to be on track.

- addicted to driving.

- addicted to the roar of the Vtec opening

- addicted to the sweet hadling and want more eventually

- Wanting to make your car look much more feirce and spend $$ lowering, bodykit etc

- and if you do the above, many carparks you cannot enter and will scared scrap your beloved body kit

BUT

to SUm up, the intergra is a sweet car to handle and fuel economy wise is excellent compared to turbo and also NA more reliable comapred to turbos.

But wat you want for in a car is much more impt.

Cheers

in short...go for it if you are rich & have money to spare.

have to agree with sti.it's a pretty decent car with lots of aftermarket parts..ride gets really bumpy if you change your suspension..lots of my friends already complained alot.performance wise is so-so..can't compared with B series..the i-vtec is actually meant for better fuel savings..if you just love the looks of the dc5..then get the type-s or gsr.if your one performance lover, get a 2-3yrs typeR cause i regretted my decision.

Very practical highly affordable coupe.

Well built and drives as all good Hondas do.

Sufficient power for its weight and good sitting space behind.

As far as I know, 100% reliable as with most Japs.

Plenty of mods.

Good choice. If I were in my twenties again, I'd definitely consider it.

Kah Motor dont sell Integra anymore. the only performance car they have is the Honda S2000 and the Euro Civic Type R (3 dr). JDM Civic Type R (4 dr) can only be bought from parallel importer.

the Honda Integra has 3 versions. Integra GSR, Integra Type S & Integra Type R.

GSR makes 160hp.

Type S makes 200hp.

Type R makes 220hp.

in fact, all Integra has ceased production, even in Japan. if u wanna get 1, u have to buy 2nd hand.

the Celica and Integra make different power. they are not the same.

Celica has also 3 versions.

Celica GT4 is the model in the mid 90s. it has a 2 litre turbocharged engine making 204hp.

in recent years, the Celica u see on the road has 2 variant. SS1 and SS2. both are 1.8 litre NA machine.

SS1 makes 140hp with rear drum brakes. SS2 makes 190hp with rear disc brakes. if i remember correctly, SS2 also has sun-roof but don't be fooled. alot of SS1 owners had installed sun-roofs on their rides.

the engine of the SS2 has stopped production due to emission standards.

the engine which the SS1 uses, is the same engine as Toyota Wish, RAV4 and MR-S.

SS1 engine is juz the normal VVT-i technology.

SS2 engine is called VVTL-i. it works something like VTEC. it's called Variable Valve Timing Lift Injection. this SS2 engine can be found on the Lotus Elise also.

juz to add, the Celica from the mid 90s is a 4WD which was once used in the WRC rally. the latest Celica is FF (frt wheel drive) layout.

actually type s produces same as GSR. 160hp unless your referring to US rsx type-s which is 200hp.the only difference between integra GSR and integra type S is type-s comes with 282mm rotors..17inch rims..better torque and without sunroof while some without rear wiper.
