Hi S4 Brothers/Sisters,

I've got a kind of stupid question to ask.

1) When you wash your bike, do you take out the tank bra?

2) Is it very difficult to take out the tank bra and fix it back?

I'm getting as tank bra soon, probably next month, after I get my belly pan and rear hugger this coming week.

Cheers...:cheeky:

Q1. Yes unless u juz wanna wash other area only...correct..the best is to take out ur tank bra one a week. Wash, Wax Wipe (the 3 W's) and put it back..

The 1st time when u bought ur tank bra its going to be hard and stiff..bcoz its still new...so the best way to take care of it...but mint oil..those use it for leather goods..e.g shoes or leather jackets..selling anywhere..like bata shop..

Mint oil is to make ur tank bra more shiny, leather care and not stiff... :goodluck:

Putting back is not tough, jus position it nicely n strap it back properly...

1 thing for mine is there's one hook which tends to come out from the elastic strip when i'm trying to snap it to the tank...after few tries managed to put it up but doesn't look secure...i'm thinking of sewing to so it wun come off...

No lah... got one part you need to open up your seat, strap it under the tank, then close back the seat again... the only way to remove it is:

1. Force open the seat.

2. Force open the fuel tank (dunno how...)

3. Cut the straps at the fuel tank area (which leaves the thief with a strapless bra)

In any any case, which part of the bike cannot be easily stolen?

the tank bra is a good investment ...i wax my tank once every fortnite and then put the tank bra over ..now my tank still looks as shiny as i first bought it ...but a thing to note bro, the tank bra still needs it's care and maintenance,so try to apply some leather protecter over it everytime u wash ur bike ...gives it that extra shine also =)

I tried not taking out my tank bra for the past 2 mths and the tank is still very shiny and waxy. Even after many raining days. Same as the last time I removed it to wash and wax.

Its a good investment especially if u got the tank bag also. Very secure. But need to carry it ard when u park.

I agree with Mudman that u need to constantly apply leather wax to ur bra to protect it cos got direct contact with the sun.
