Er, while the initial budget is stated at up to 150k, it is not stated how big is one's oil field to maintain the petrol consumption...

Eg: Fairlady gives you 350km per full tank at normal singapore driving, but it cost you $180 per full tank!

aiya when ur younger in age..u just tink of "wat is the CAR" dat really matters...slowly when u grow older u will tink "how to keep the car" matters more...so looking at this kinda threads bein post on n off is usual...juz try to make urself feel young n vote for ur dream :D dat y I chose the S2000 hahahaha...

In bare facts actually I tink the EuroR is a better bet...save more fuel compare to others, cheaper insurance...slightly more expensive rd tax compare to the 2L cars n it more of a all rounder....anytime u can fit a baby chair to it, enuff boot space to bring ur family out for a holiday n they all can sit comfortablely from Spore - Genting while u enjoy ur trills on the NSH...bearing in mind dat any normal income earnin Sporean can afford the above list of cars at the age of may earliest late 20s to latest late 30s or even older...so at the age u shld already hav a family wif you somehow or rather n u may not want a flashy open top s2000 anymore....unless itz a 2nd car when u got excess cash to spare or ur simply born to a rich dad :D

150k can buy a 9 year old Porsche Carrera, so I'd go for that.

there will always be value in a porsche , just like a rolex

A RX8 driver tells me that RX8 fuel consumption is worse than Evo. Maybe 5-6km/litre, normal singapore driving.

launching confirm evo win.. rolling definitely DC5.. chop with stamp:thumb:

DC5

BHP : 220BHP @ 8000rpm

torque : 203Nm @ 7000rpm

0-100 : 6.7s

0-400 : 14.3s

Top Speed : 235km/h

EVO 8

BHP : 280Bhp @ 6500rpm

torque : 273Nm @ 3500rpm

0-100 : 4.7s

0-400 : 13s

Top Speed : 255km/h

Pick Up the Evo will win due to its turbo induction as u can see.

TOp speed wise depends a lot on torque @ what rpm. The Evo is having 273Nm @ only 3500rpm yet the DC5 need to run 7000Rpm to get it's 203Nm and top speed Evo win hans down.

Vtec kicks in at 6000rpm stock and turbo for the evo boost at 3000rpm stock. that means on 5 gear u are already very near it's max torque without the need to drop gear to boost the 3000 rpm.

As for Long Distance, The Vtec is a High Rev Engine and all High Rev Engines are not meant for long distance. Look at the Rpm needed to boost the kind of power for the DC 5. But I must Admit the DC 5 can take the 225bhp stock rex anytime due to it's power to weight ratio. But definately not the EVO 8 in short run, long run or even 40 tuang.

Specs are for JDM models.

tat will be sucide.

Vtec like the dc5 is running at 11.1:1 compression and with the force induction of 1bar will definately blow the engine.

All turbo cars run on low compression take for example the evo is running about 8.8:1 compression ratio. thus can boost up to about 1.3-1.5 bar on stock turbo. anything more need to upgrade turbo/intercooler bla bla....

Errrh bro ... ... if you talking about DC5 Type-R, I don't think their compression 11.1:1, is more like 12.5:1 ... ... something like that ... ... :D
