How Much to Use

Add in tiny amounts from about one part per 5000 to one part per 3000, depending on the vehicle -- just a few ounces per ten gallons of gas. This comes to between 0.0003 % to 0.0025 % acetone maximum or approximately 1/15th of one-percent. Note that is around .78 cc per liter or one ounce per 10 gallons. Not more than three oz. per 10 gallons.

for S4 we will be using abt 14.04ml

Therefore 18L = 0.78cc * 18 = 14.04ml (cc=ml)

if yes, pls indicate. We will share the cost of the purchase. Total of 18L per container.

interested by 500ml or 1L

Its good to invest in a Raincoat esp in a tropical country like Singapore.. the weather is very unpredictable.

As for Jacket, its really up to personal preference. However, I believe it can really protect and minimise injuries in case of any .... Then again, there's no need to really get a very fancy and expensive one.. once torn, it cannot be used again. As long as it serve its purpose, I believe it is good enough.

Btw you might also want to check your brake pads if they are running out.. coolant if you need to top it up .. and maybe the chain condition.

I need to get a raincoat, but ain't sure where to get it and what brand. Reading all the "raincoat" thread seems to point to a few brands such as TS Rainbuster and Arai.

I'd also need to get a pair of riding gloves for the Malacca trip.

Any bros here can recommend where to get bike accessories? (I only know LAB) Better still, anyone planning to go down to accessories shops that I can tag along?

Bro,

Another important check is when u last change ur rectifier which is the most unpredictable damn mechanism that might jus give up on u. Anyway signs and symptoms would be the prolong and difficult start. Scary if it also affect the coil and god-waht -have-you it has affected. Mine, 2yrsold and still going strong on the version S. Buy original for such things. Cheers!

Bro,

Comfort zone varies from person to person. Some can survive with jus t-shirt and jeans oso can but u compromise on safety and discomfort. Ideally, a full face to reduce wind gushing, a pair of gloves(full) to protect the hands and rain, a jacket to keep warm, dirt out, smell, and also mebe light rain, army boots good enough for safety. Plus I usually use an MP3 to keep from feeling bored hehehe. Raincoat, good idea unless u dun mind getting wet and shivering. Windshield is also good to have to deflect wind hitting ur chest. As I say, some can survive without it but I find it so useful in my super long journeys at speed of 140km/h and above. Jus sharing my experience.

Going in convoy, is good coz all will look out for each other in case of breakdowns and other problems. Use to travel alone, quite boring. In groups, the atmosphere is different. People see u and "wow". U feel good and no one will mess with u.

Malacca is a good start for people to travel, not too far and not too near. I will check my calender if I could join u guys. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing from your experience - that's some good stuff to know. I concur that a full-face for long trips would be ideal for reasons mentioned. Would love to get one, but priority goes to a good raincoat / jacket.

Its been 5 years ago since I first go on M'sia highway on a bike. That time, it was a lone trip up to KL. Very daring, come to think of it now, it was scary.

that was your first and only time up alone?? :giddy:

wow.. you are really daring!!

For raincoats, an average one would be progrip which many are using, it should cost abt $30 or less for a set.. Other more branded ones such as Arai, OGK cost about $70-80 for a set.

Other than LAB, there are other bike accessories and apparels shop such as Chong Aik and Chiap Lee which is round the area of LAB.. maybe someday we can go down together and you can take a look at the products.

Alternatively, there are quite a number of mass order going on for helmets, gloves and raincoats at the Product Mass Order page.. you might want to check it out..
