Its ok Ah Pek... My problem has been rectified... I changed the valve float needles and they serviced it for like 3 hrs to get the problem solved...

Anyway, I was thinking of removing the choke completely. Can I do that? Because the u-shape metal piece no longer sit nicely on the black stud... and causing the choke to slightly pulled.. maybe due to dismantled the carb too many times liao... Any advice?

Yes you can..in fact, I took mine off four years ago..Wah_hahaha! Get a big key chain ring and ring it on the choke linkage on your right just under the tank..in case you need to pull anduse the choke one day. Don't oso can but you need some shao_Lin grip with your thumb and index fingers to pull it out.

Wah ahahah... Ah Pek very much sought after la... OMO... Anyway, he doesn't need to dismantle the carbs to service it... he got his own style of doing it if you read earlier posts... He said one bike would take between 30 to 45 mins to service... So I dun tink its advisable for us to come in a group.. we'll end up waiting for each other and fighting to be "served" first... haha...

Sent my Spec 1 to Ah Pek this morning for servicing.. He then sent me to my workplace using his own bike.. Very good service lah Ah Pek.. Changed eo (specially mixed by Ah Pek), put some CLX, liquid Molly and did 16 point grounding.. Now the bike is super responsive and smooth.. Make me feel like Valentino Rossi but i don't have his skills lah.. Thanks Ah Pek for the advice.. And very cheap too..

HamtaroS4 is correct lah...don't come in a group. I do it for past time but with effectiveness and save you all from kenna chop_chop by golden parang. Mototiam all declare war on me. I'm a poor man myself that's why I die die fun cheap and easy solution yet save $$$s.

For carbs cleaning without dismantling, the most may be three person lah. For Vtec owner, just help me take off your tank can liao..non Vtec no need. I always cut the side of my index finger lower part pulling out the fuel tube.:(

No lah..not 16 points but if you coun, its 16 points. Don't know who the ppl started using points. Points are for cars..standard 5 unless you have customised big config power amp and power speakers..you need more. For cars..its 5 point delta star..for bikes, its delta star looping and can be 2 to 3 depends on bike condition. So if you count, its 16 points lor..that's why, I say its "no point" to me....LOL! Got one, counted 21 points because his bike really shacker_du!

Additional info..those that has Revo..grounding is a MUST and using 6 gauges wire not 8 gauges because of ECU as data communication information is vital from all sensors..same like fuel injection and cars that install Power Commander. I'm still working on the vital areas where floating grounds exist for Revo.

so in conclusion, washing and tuning of carbs need not be involving dismantling, which is done by ah pek?

whats the diff between asking bikeshop and ah pek to do the job? what other harms it might do to the bike if shop do the washing and tuning?

"..tuning of carbs need not be involving dismantling, which is done by ah pek?"

Huh!???...where did you read that from? Did I said that?

"whats the diff between asking bikeshop and ah pek to do the job?"

Huh!???..I see you posting "need not be involving dismantling, which is done by ah pek"..and you still asking?

"what other harms it might do to the bike if shop do the washing and tuning?"

Have you seen mech dismantle and do carbs washing before?..do you think there is a case of mishandling or may be being careless? Do you now think that there is a chance of accidental damage like dropping your carb's pin needle..etc..and putting it back without you knowing?

There is nothing to compare as to who or what is good. The choice is yours to choose.

LOL!...not sure where I posted it but it was explained..as by inserting a tool tube into each carb and do a pressure spiracular spray cleansing (better than petrol) that dissolved gums, dirt.etc..inside the carbs. All oriffice etc be clean when you start the bike and get blown out thus cleaning just about everything..errr..with the carbs intact of course. Easy and just as effective and don't have to pay so much and time saver.

a $10 service as good as carbs clearing of gums, sluge residue and dirt trapped over the years..especially choke flap area. Save you from spending $80. As for tuning, hardly those setting would run.

is this the price? hehe
