anyone got any way to reduce the shedding ? no matter how i comb them still got alot of loose hair one.

Why do u put bells from ur cats neck ? from what i heard the constant ringing following them will make them go nuts .

anyone with both cats and dogs ? how do they co-relate ? any fights or whatsoever ?

1. do u give your cat vitamin or supplements?? try Dematrix or missing link.. good for the fur, less sheding and more fluffy. and also its normal for them to shed fur. like us, human being every day loose hair.. unless it shed so much, than start giving supplement.. your cat lack of Omega3... what dry food u feed your cat?

2. Putting bell dun make the cat go nuts lah, bro.. some owner put them on their cat so they know thier cat 'whereabouts'.. like the cat move here and there, they know..

3. if u go to pets.com.sh forum, quite a number of the owner keep dogs and cat.. mostly they introduce their little kitten to thier dog at a young age where they never know that dog are their 'enemy' or they suppose to be scare of them. hehe

cheers

Cat are actually noturnal animal.. they are active at nite... but some cat adapt to thier owner's sleeping time. mine still awake at nite.. sometime disturb me also..

its normal for the cat to sleep during the day.. most cat do that.. unless there have someone to play with them.

nutro is a good dry food. have you try Royal Canin or Science Diet.. they have a good well balance diet. i'm using royal canin and science diet..

and also i give her supplement.. u should.. anyway what cat u have? any pics?

one more possible reason due to lotsa fur shed, may due to flu.. my cat use to have flu and her fur shed alot.

hope this help

my cats are stray cats i adopted from the cats forums ... its like whenever i stroke them all those loose hair will come out ...what supplements do u recommend ?

Posted

i gave him the best food.. royal canine.. never really shed any hair..

cats will shed their hair when going into adulthood.. somewhere from 4mths to 6mths..

royal canine will reduce shedding but your prince/princess will not look as fit/plump as when they take science diet.. normally those cat lovers will suggest take both of the brands..

so far mine only on royal canine, cuz long fur.. when combing also doesnt really had any hair..

putting bells on you cat wun drive them crazy.. because cats move silently(they can keep their claws not like dogs) putting a bell, at least to let the owner know where are they..

got one time forgot to put bell back after bathing.. mine pound on my gf, when we watching dvd.. gave us a fright.. haha..

if you wanna have cats and dogs under one roof.. always rem cats are harder to get long than dogs.. if cat is already in the house, chances of introducing a dog is very low..

I got a friend, he got a dog, but he pick up stray cats.. "introduce" them to his dog.. now his place has about 12 cats, 1 dog..

cats are more dominant..

me also use Royal Canin. its worth it bro.. 2kg cost around $29 but most places have discount, so cost roughly from $23-25 per bag.

well try use Dematrix, its best so far in the market.. its like a pill, where your cat bite and chew on it. but if you're a muslim, dun buy that cos it contain PORK.

so another supplement is Missing Link. its in power form. u sprinkle like 2 teaspoon a day on her wet food or dry food..

it works wonder for both!.. really...

and lastly only feed her cat food.. dun give her left over food especially fried fish.

cheers

1. try out cat welfare society, spca, or try out those tampines areas block 200+ if u lucky can see a few kitten running here and there..

2. after meal time, put your cat in the toilet and close the door.. only let her out once he/she poo poo.. by the next poo poo, he/she will do at the same place..

3. Buy a scratch post.. play some cat teaser near the scratch post so that he/she will accidently scratch on the sisal rope pillar and hopefully he/she will start to scratch there..

hope this help

yup! but that depend on the breed.. but not strays.. strays are a natural 'sayang' cat....... from wat i read.. and notice myself, that kitten/cat are more close to their owner who is the opposite sex. like a female cat will be more close to a male owner visa versa. wat the books say that cat can sense hormones.
