I'm at my end wit's thinking of how to prevent this cat from zzzing on my bike. Somemore scratch until my recently re-wrap seat so many holes.

wow you manage to snap a pic of the cat relaxing on your seat..cool  well cat attacking bike seats is a problem to stay..there are tonnes of ways to help PREVENT but i dun think there is a definite cure to it....... maybe you can try to leash a huge dog by your bike?

something to ask. you wear CONSTUCTION HELMET when riding?

 The cat very stubborn, refuse to get off from the seat when i wana shoo it off. Maybe he knows there are laws like animal rights tat protects him, so he knows i won't harm him, tat y refuse to get off my bike

Yes, i wear the safety helmet as my motorcycle helmet on the road  Much lighter & cheaper also

hi!

yes our cats had to stay for 4 weeks in quarantine station... :weep:

we visited them as often as possible and made sure, that they couls share one cage...

when they came home to us, they were absolutely fine and had not taken any harm... :cheer:

but we noticed in the last week of quarantine that they became quieter and didn´t want to play or something like that...

oh!!! that's cruel.... being caged up and not being able to move around~~~

wah~ the cats must be very loved in the family... to be so well-taken care of~~ :lovestruck:

could it be because their freedom was restricted or something, the lack of space is making them languid.... juz like what happens to animals kept at the zoo~~~ always seem to be so lethargic....

Hey guys I lost my cat 1 and a half months back (my stupid mom threw her away) and tried looking everywhere for her for 2 weeks straight until I gave up the search. Yesterday I found her loitering around 3-4 blocks away. She seemed terrified. I tried calling her but she ran away so I bought her a catfood(canned) and tried to lure her with it. I'm guessing she was starving because she immediately ran to the food n ate but each time I tried to stroke her she'd run back into the drain.

Then I did something I shouldn't have done. I tried to grab her thinking I could hold on to her n bring her back home but my left hand was horribly chewed and scratched on. I tried to withstand the pain and hold on to her but the pain became unbearable so I let go of her and watched her dash into the drain helplessly.

I went back to that same area the same night and saw her from afar but she dashed away when I approached her. She refused to come out despite me bringing food. I placed the food near the drain and observed from afar but after 20 minutes of waiting, I gave up.

I guess she was traumatised by what happened earlier.

Does anyone have a clue as to how I could coax her out and capture her successfully?

Appreciate the help. Thanks

@princess: yes - they´re really our babies

@chipmunk: oh - that´s bad to read... poor kitty :weep:

I am sorry. I have no idea how to help you.

the only thing, that I can think of, is that you probably need A LOT of TIME and PATIENCE...

Maybe you can got to her often, bring her some food and just sit there... after a while she might trust you again... hopefully!

I cross my fingers!!!:goodluck:

On 2nd Jan, i saw a cat struggling b4 it died after it dropped from 17th floor (according to some witnesses) but i suspect someone threw her down. Cats dont usually jump down themselves right?

The cat struggled for an hour, mouth bleeding. It was so pretty but i couldn't help it.

:weep:

SPCA didn't wan to send a transport down. We have to bring it to the emergency clinic ourselves. But i didn't dare to move the cat.

Eventually it died.

Cats dont usually jump down themselves, do they?

might be an accident... ????

this is one of the reasons, why we don´t let our cats outside - they also can just simply fell or underestimate a hight,....

well i heard of a few incidences like tat. usually when kitty sees flying insects or birdies outside the window, they just wanna go for it not knowing tat it's a death jump. so when my kitty is out the window in the balcony's close otherwise she sleeps in a shoei helmet box in her cage. think she's so comfy that she can sleep the whole day man! she's got a basket padded with towel but she just goes for the box.

Can someone clear my doubts?

My friends went oversea and i took care of his kitten (Ragdoll) less than 2 months old.

1)I have been having diarrea ever since i took care of the kitten.. isit becos she is sleeping with me?

2)When the kitten is sleeping with me, she tends to use her nose to put on my lip.. and sleep very closely to me til that i can hear her breathing sounds like helicopter.. Does that occurs to other kittens as well? Or this is a special case?

3)I also realise that she tends to wonder what is behind the windows.. there's once when i saw her getting ready to jump over the window.. luckily i manage to catch her in the mid way.. if nt... i dun knw hw to repay my friend... y is that so..?

Since that incident, I shut all my windows and return the kitten back to my friend the moment he returns..

I love the kitten but i worried.. she will commit suicide and worried i might be allergy to kittens.. but i am not allergy to dogs...

Prefers... cats rather than dogs... :cheeky:

Time will heal...

Dude, I've lost two cats before one white and one brown with a baggy stomach at two different occasions. We always kept our corridor windows open at night to catch the wind as its hot at night, and although it was around 1.2m high from inside and 1.5m high from the corridor, they always managed to climb in and out of the house. But that time we din do any sterilisation so maybe after a while they left during mating season. They went missing for months. Once we found the white one at the void deck of a nearby block. Surprisingly he still came to us when his name was called. He still remembered us...it was such a good feeling. We already kept another stray kitten then, but we brought the white one back anyway. The moment they got scent of each other, you can't imagine the kind of transformation your cats go through. They were so fierce with each other that we had to release the white one since it had adapted to the outide world already and also cos the new addition was still young.

The brown one with baggy stomach, we also saw a similar cat that looked exactly like her after some months but when we approached she runs away. And when we lured with food and tried to grab her, she fought for her life scratching everything. But we still managed to bring her home anyway and we noticed her ear had been cut, meaning SPCA sterilised and released them, and she had a slightly different facial look from what we remembered. She was very antsy around the house and she fled a few days later when my door was open. We think that we got the wrong cat as it never responded to her name.

I believe it might be the same case with the cat you saw since it did not respond to you calling her/his name and tried to fight you when you caught it. There are a lot of cats out there and some look very similar to each other. You may have just got a similar looking cat. Dun be disheartened dude. I'm sure its safe wherever your cat is. They are great survivors and adaptors. Next time you see another familiar cat, if it responds to you, then its probably your lost cat. They have excellent memories too.

Sometimes cats do get over excited especially over birds and insects. So much so that they don't look before they leap. And they are nimble but also clumsy and over-confident at times. I had a pair of cats once, our very first cats, and we lost one cos she liked to climb onto the kitchen sink and then walk to the window ledge and actually sit and rest AT the window ledge. It was so precarious that although we wanted to get them down quickly, we approached them slowly in case we startle them and cause them to fall over the wrong side. So we'll approach slowly, bring them down and give them a good flicking of the ear to warn them its a bad thing. Even then she'd do it again till the unwanted happen. We saw her brother standing at the kitchen sink just before the ledge and when we looked down she was down there, 9 floors below. My sis was so sad she cried for several days.

With cats around windows and ledges are quite dangerous places. Have to discipline them or keep them locked to prevent them from running away and also from falling from heights.

Our current pair are the most locked up after all our previous experiences. No objects near windows for them to climb on, but somehow this pair don't seem to jump onto windows anyway which is good as they easily could anytime, and outdoor times are very rare and they're scared to venture far anyway. They're also sterilised so they wont run away looking for mates.

These are our best pair yet. The most affectionate and obedient by far. The household darlings. :lovestruck:
