Hi ppl,

I've been using the Cheetah Alarm for some time liao. But the alarm is not connected to the ignition.

Anyone of you DIY the alarm to coil connection before?

Where exactly is the ignition coil?

Thanks for any advice given.

Hi, locate the fuse box and connect the purple wire to the ignition fuse.

Ok, thanks man.

Will try tml.

Hey man, do you need to get extension wires to connect the ignition wire to the alarm? Any other clamping tools needed?

ya... clamp the y connectors to connect to the battery... depending on where is your ignition fuse located, you might or might not need extra wire...

Hi man, thanks for the replies.

The purple wire u mentioned is from where?

Cos my alarm got a black looped wire, which I'm supposed to cut into 2 halves and connect 1 to the ignition coil, the other to the ignition wire, like hijacking.

U got any pics?

Might just get the bike shop to do if too troublesome.

Thanks again.

Oh, that ignition coil ah... haha... OKOK... I disconnected mine already... but then for my bike, I have a ready socket to just connect.

I brought my bike to the shop and asked them to connect the ignition already when I was there for regular servicing. I dun have the clamps or the connector.

Thanks again.

yup there is a knob which can adjust the sensitivity. need to use a screwdriver to turn the knob which has a 'minus' sign

the best part to place the cheetah alarm is attached it to the main body frame of the bike cos its the main frame that links to all parts of the bike all the way to the front or back.

*results varies

one example, i put in the box key into my box, turn the key, press the spring mechanism to unlock the box and my alarm goes off.
