i got my steelmate from one of the dudes around call FATBIKER.. do a search on him..

there are cheetah, froniter, spider or sth.. range 100-500 depends..

one way means.. when someone disturb ur bike and u r somewhere near u would noe as in 2 km open space.. while a 2 way is when someone touch ur bike.. ur remote will vibrate to show tat ur bike is being disturb.

i got mine at 120.. if u noe how to fix.. u can safe 30 bucks..

All the alarm function the same as car alarm.. bike also got remote start but for super 4.. those wif hiss can't remote start..

ya.. mine is a two way alarm.. steelmate.. rather loud i guess.. or loud enough to scared off ani disturber.. coz sensitive too..

Bros who dun agree with me.. pls correct me.. thanks..

1) wat is 1 way n 2 way alarm?

1-way alarms only give you the sound when the alarm is triggered. You do not know the alarm has been triggered unless you are close enough to the bike. 2-way alarms come with a remote or something like that, and the remote will know when the bike's alarm has been interfered with, by vibrating or giving off a sound, when the alarm is triggered on your bike, provided the bike's alarm, and your remote are within range of each other's sensors.

2) wat brand is out there?

3) my budget ard $100, so wat kind of alarm can i get?

Lots. For your budget, look for FatBiker's alarm MO's in the MO section, it should be good enough. Cheetah is also possible, and Scorpio is above your budget but good. You should go source for these alarms and ask around for reviews about them before deciding on which one to buy.

4) saw some guys with tis remote (like car) when they press got tis Beep beep sound, tink is deactivate the alarm. So isit all the alarm out there got tis function?

Not all but most work this way I should think. The one you describe incidentally happens to sound like the Scorpio, but then again there might be many alarms that do this.

5) where the alarm will be fixed at?

Usually under the seat, or around that area.

I am sure you can look for the other answers or have others give them to you. This is the best I can do, hope it helped.

imported electronic stuff is cheaper in spore. Only labor cost of installation is cheaper in jb.

I think the workmanship is also better in spore, especially if you install in shop specialised in such bike accesories, the qualified electical worker will make sure he doesn't bypass your fuse or over rated fuse which will cause electrical fire if short circuited.

Hi mudman

That is also my concern.....especially after having p-max and 6 pts grounding connected to my battery......feel my battery may be overload...and there are instances when my engine is hot i will need to start a few times and after starting the meter went another round,......was told that it is the indicator to weak battery...

So i have order from fatbikers and battery operated alarm.......stil waiting for it to arrive ........but heard review is not too bad.....whiich serve the basic function...

Hi cobbett,

for now , i'm still quite skeptical about bike alarms ...the only reason why i want it is to deter theft...but how well it works i also dunno ...it's risky if it drains on the batt..we dun wana go touring halfway then batt flat ...sure pengz one ..........

read somewhere from this forum before that once ur tripmeter or time starts resetting everytime u start ur bike, it's time for the battery to go ...so am considering installying voltmeter le ...

color=red]For our sins.........................HooAH

only experience once for time reset.....have a volt meter but no sure how to read.....is more looks only....

thats why I decided to buy the bike alarm that uses AA size battery.....will not affect the bike battery at all,,,

i think as mentioned by a fren, the voltmeter should idle ard 12V. anything lower mean time to change or watch out le...

pls feel free to correct me bros....am unsure as well

color=red]For our sins.........................HooAH

mine is within the range of 12 and 14.........it is when starting of engine it will falls below 12......other then that is always within.......

any bros have any idea wat if it went over 14 for the volt meter??

Posted

bike will explode bro ...

kidding la ...it will never be over la ...as long as it's within the range u're safe..

like i told ya, if :

it's idling ard 11V,

or when u start bike the meter and time resets

or the headlight goes real dim when u press the starter switch

+ and engine sound sluggish to crank , or starter sounds weak
