singnet? everything is wrong with it since it changed their mux card to huawei about 1 yr ago..

if you're still having the old alcatel modem / router / wireless you may wanna change it.. alcatel 510 or so..

it conflicts with the maximum transmission unit (MTU) of the new mux cards from singtel so some websites can't login...

not juz the huawei mux lor..

even when they launch new speeds like 10m and 25m, they didn't bother if provision is done properly and the right way too..

moreover, some houses can't even have tat kind of mux and the backroom ppl go steal mux from others. walau den those ppl who kena stole mux de have bad connection. :dozed:

dun worry, as ur 2wire modem will be able to support tat speed.

i duno the exact terms, but a mux card is something like the thing tat made phone lines possible to surf internet, fixed at ur 'forgot-the-name-of-tat-box' outside ur hse.

Mux = Multiplexer

"That box" sitting outside a customer's residence might be a digitised switch. I'm not so sure how Singtel sets up their DSL system sround Singapore and where they place their "those boxes sitting outside a building" equipment though.

Anyone working at Singtel care to comment a lil about this?

Customer premises -> distribution point (DP) x2-3 -> Mux -> exchange -> Data center.
