Bro, you're now into tyres huh?? man.. ha. H rated????? I guess semi slicks will be anytime better then the DOT tyres. Many racers overseas claimed that the slicks make DOT tyres seem like ice-skating in comparison.. So I guess you wont go wrong la.. Ha. Pls you'll be the most workxzszs runner out there.. :hungry:

I say something like dat..very tempting to try leh..but might be kinda stupid to ship such heavy items

120/70-12 58 S TL rf. (Front)

For ultimate control: Developed only for front wheel use, a special, soft rubbermixture (Soft Compound) optimizes transmission of steering and braking forces

130/60-13 M/C 60 S TL rf. (Rear)

Modern Semi-Slick tire for sports Scooters. Optimum grip and mileage are achieved by combining a strengthened carcass construction with a high-quality silica tread

S rating takes up to 180km/h

toking abt most workzz runner I dun tink so lah...any1 wif extra cash on hand can always buy up parts faster than any1 else..

wat I can only try is to dig up n pay a price for a special part dat is able to par the performace wif 3parts the rich can buy

Tyres are not THAT heavy la.. At most ship by sea.. Gotta wait (much) longer, but at a fraction of the price. But if you're not in a hurry, why not??

Anyway, the specs sounds VERY exciting... :hungry: Go for it mate!

Hmmm, for that price? Might as well spend it on going faster! Ha ha, cause for scooters, tires not very crucial right? Compared to like other bikes such as the R1, or the RS250?

Cheers...

Multivar from $230 excluding installation to $270 including installation. Yes, comes with rollers, u-clips, torque spring and the variator itself.

You need good tyres whatever bikes you're riding man.. Like the infamous Pirelli line with Carl Lewis wearing heels "Power is nothing without control"

Cheers

try the polini one. dun have to install the torque spring. so slightly cheaper. also tested to be better and durable.

Polini Speed Control (variator) build design and quality are very good.. Nice. In fact, so is the other parts ie Big Bore, Rollers etc are of higher quality/ prettier then the Malossi items.. But.. Performance-wise, I dunno.. Personally never use Polini parts before.. Should be good in my opinion..

But just to highlight an (probably isolated) event: an overseas VXR owner couldn't manage to go past 120km/h (uncorrected speeds) even though he's got a whole load of goodies installed. While he was doing 130- 140km/h (stock condition) before.. So he decided to fiddle around to try finding out the culprit of his prob. It turns out that the moment he removed his Polini Speed Control and changed back to stock, his top speed went back to 130-140 km/h..

It might be his Speed Control's condition is crapped, or his roller setting being way-off.. Dunno..

Like I've said, dunno if its an isolated event.. Polini supporters dun :gun: me.. Peaze.. Cheers

the Polini Speed Control (variator)'s installation is not as simple as the orginal varitor n multivar n the usage of rollers might somehow be different from others...

the grease must be pack poperly to give a gd effect and mixture of rollers is very sensitive...aft dat the speed control juz come alone as wif the variator pulley n rollers in the package thus mixing it wif transmission parts, springs n pulleys from other brands might not let it work to itz best...

Im still exploring mine...the real expert who hav been fooling ard wif the speed control way b4 spore hav it had retired but his knowledge is only for 2stroke lah...I guess the dealers hav tried n explore enuff on the 4strokes to know how to make it work to the best :thumb:

Thanks! That is really juicy stuff, just a little curious, but malossi uses a spring to apply pushing force onto the variator? How come polini does not need to?

oh that is the torque spring dat come wif the malossi multivar...it dun push the variator...all variators r push by rollers...hmm why Polini dun hav I also dunno lah...itz kinda hard for me to explain how the parts works together but if ur interested read thru this u might hav a clearer understanding

Hi mate,

I don`t know the aftermarket multivar but I changed mine with original one and comes with the new weight and u clips as vell. At the moment my set up is main jet 120 roller weights are 7 grams all around (I just drill the middle till it is 7 gram after took their cover ofcourse ). I am very happy with the take off revs up to 8.000 RPM right away from stand still with no stopping in the middle. Mid range accleration is great lost bit of top end I guess 116 kmh I`ve done so far. Fuel comsumtion not too bad before jetting up used to be 28.3 km with a litre of fuel now 25.5 km with a litre. But it is worth it I`ve got 2 other guys have DNA at my work place and none of them can come close to my take off.
