Oh, is it me, or is the Gilera DNA foot pegs too weak? Cause mine broke off today, the bolt just broke clean in half. Changed to the ones used by the super 4's...

104 km on 9500 RPM that is sound like your belt doesn`t go all the way down on the rear pully. couple of things could couse to that 1 as it mentioned before worn rollers but way way worn (I`ll be back to that) 2 wrong belt (a bit longer) because you should be doing 8000 RPM on 100 kmh. At one stage I bought Athenas belt for the DNA even though it says for DNA 180 on the cover when I put it on I was doing 9000 RPM on 100 kmh. I took it out and measured it was slightly longer than the original. About the rollers doesn`t matter how worn they are I don`t think coul couse that much difference I`ve got 7 grams all around with original variator no problem at all. By the way if you have aftermarket exhoust better chek the air fuel ratio might need upsize the main jet I had to put 118 main. Good luck and safe riding to all.

Like I said, I got to do some measurements first. And also, I do not know any good bike mechanic that can satisfy my level of needs....like being meticulous, take out 10 screws, put back 10 screws etc.

 

I am keen to proceed....have asked my biker friends for help and they freaked out when they heard my plans...but they know I will sure go ahead one!

BTW, sad to say, there's not much mech (for scoots) in sgp that can do what you just described "... know any good bike mechanic that can satisfy my level of needs....like being meticulous, take out 10 screws, put back 10 screws etc."... haizxszszs..

unless we know our scoot very very well enuff n heng heng find a not too bad mech to dirty his hand n we sit at the side n give instructions n ideas....Hav seen a fellow rider doing this b4...outcome is gd but provided we really know every single thing abt our own bike which really takes time n effort to learn

No lah...doubt the bloody weak block can take any form of force feeding. I am a firm believer of power to weight ratio.... hehehe

 

Anyway, my project does not involve power increment. I want to convert the bike to a naked bike front....no sai tao. Maybe it will look better? But looks are always subjective...one man's meat is another man's poison....

 

As for mechanics....suspect I wont find any meticulous one in Singapore...so lan lan.... for cars, there is only one I know of...Espace....go in one piece come out one piece...all neat and nice.... others...I really don't know.... I will be going Win Jing/Desmond at Desker most probably, his shop is closest to my home....

One thing for sure is....it is not jam packed like LAB etc etc....

 

And also bro Model Killa, what mirrors are those on your bike? Looks like from a Cagiva? The current one that came with the bike looks horrid and see no s h i t.

I bought the originals 2nd hand...but the paint is not very good and it looks quite awful actually..spoiling the look of the bike....
