It has not arrived yet guys. Just preparing for it's arrival, as I am sure the IU unit is in the way. So today will be installing it under my seat!!!

Sianz, need to go buy some stuff from ah boy to settle it, a new voltmeter holder, a funny 3-sided screwdriver, some new bolts for the handle bar as the current one is too long as it is meant to hold the IU unit as well..

I love my bike but... family prob... dad going for operation... selling Ferrari Red DNA... bike just did servicing... castrol R4 engine oil one month ago .. change rear tyre 2 months ago... change belt 2 months ago... titanium GPR exhaust.. black illuminated voltmeter... malossi CDI malossi rollers... Malossi air filters..

change rear suspension 4 months ago.. car arlarm system optional... Didn t met with an accident but did all this to make bike nicer and faster... Gd offer...!!!

interested pls call me @ 90710855 Randy. Selling @$2800 neg...

i just pass my 2b. I always wanted to get a runner, however, i saw a DNA on the road today for the first time and man..... it was beautiful. So now , i am having a very hard time deciding RUnner or DNA?

 

Please help?

 

Can i still get a 1st hand DNA from the bike shop? Not sure if they are still selling?

 

Due to the fact that this bike is so rare, will the parts be expensive and will the workshop people know how to fix it?

My bike is all fixed up wat u need to do is just maintain cause I change lots of things which cost abt $1500++ in total but if u buy Its all in for $2800 with bike neg... spare parts not expensive... its same as runner... some uses same parts as well... can recomend u cheap shop to go...

interested pls call me @ 90710855 can view and give u advise... check classified I post in there can look @ my bike... Its not a hard bike to maintain... I don't find it troublesome... regular things u need to check is coolen water thats all...usual wear & tear... Its a bike where all ppl will take a second look...

MYM203, by the way were you talking to me at the traffic light at the corner or ten mile junction and bukit panjang road? If so, that was me.

 

As for brand new DNA's, not possible, most are second hand at best. As for spare parts, they are relatively cheap, and available from piaggio (stock parts) or malossi (after-market). At first I doubted the DNA, now I don't have any regrets, always a head turner at traffic lights!

By the way, the Gilera DNA has a similar engine to the Gilera VXR200. So spares are not a problem.

Yupxzs, like randy said, engine is the same as a 180cc VXR (just that sgp only brought in the 200cc version, not the 180cc VXR).

 

Maintenance wise is the same as a vxr. Which is not alot, just the usual stuffs such as rollers, u-clips, belt, engine oil, spark plug etc.. All the shops specialising in scooters will know and are capable of doing servicing and repairs of this bike. Prices are reasonable enough as well. There's a few shops that offers complete package of servicing at $100+++, which is very well-priced in my opinion.

 

AS for the parts, oem parts are readily avail at piaggio singapore. And ya, there're no more 1st hand DNA in singapore anymore.

Eh bro, so free huh, why dun you go fix up yr windscreen!?!?!? You'll be the most unique dna in sgp.. BTW, where was the screen from? How come freighting that quick??

its in singaporebikes classified... just go to home page... u can sellect classified, under search type gilera dna u can see it... Mine is the Ferrari Red...

Here are the pics, quite a bit of work, had to move the IU unit, move my voltmeter, get the screw to fit as my license plate was a tad too small. But it works now! And I quote "it is not as ugly as I expected" hehehe...
