Greetings All,

I'd like to gather your past experiences if you have dealt with Pang Scooter before.

Hope you can share the good?/bad?/trustworthy? points of this shop before i commit.

You can PM me if you are uncomfortable about posting it here.

Will greatly appreciate if you can help a fellow biker out.

Cheers & Thanks in advance!

Abt 5 - 6 yrs ago, I used to service my WR2 & XR4 there (in fact I bought both bikes fr them)....quality wise, I would say good, but then, it came with a price......slightly ex as compared to other shops.....

To me, it's ok as long as they service my bike properly without any problems later.....

Have gone there recently to look see look see, the mechanic still the same (dunno his name, but an uncle with moustache).....I would say his skills consider alrite (I would rate him 8/10)......

If it's the boss (Or rather boss's son) Ah Zai a.k.a Michael is doing ur bike, u must really avoid talking to him...cos he super talkative....once he engage conversation with u, his hands would stop moving...onli his mouth moves...so in the end u gotta wait longer for ur bike to be done....

Like I mentioned, I bought my previous bikes from them, and felt tat a bit kana CHOP by them.....but then no worries abt having any problems after u get the bike cos they sure do it up until swee swee before u collect it.....unlike some other bike shop tat claims tat they will do up/service ur bike swee swee b4 u collect, but aft u collect, it turn out tat nothing was done!!!

So it's all up to individual.....

Buy bike from them >>> Confirm ex but guarantee (though not 100%) no prob

Service bike >>>>> Slightly ex but also do up swee swee...jus tat sometimes they a bit slow....

The above is jus my personal opinion base on my personal experience....pls do not flame me and also I dun get any commission fr Pang's scooter....

Pls also note tat the above was base on my experience abt 5 - 6 yrs ago b4 I stop riding for a couple of yrs....so I do not noe if they are still the same a not....I'm now considering whether a not to go back to service my bike since I've start to ride again...

Planet boss ah chong is really nice... he personally serviced my recently bought 2nd hand phantom.. lol the bike had many many problems, like front wheel bearing broke, steering cone spoil, clutch plates spoil, but he solved them all at a very reasonable price. He even gave my bike a free oil change.

While I was away (he told me to come back 3 hours later / 7pm), he discovered that my exhaust pipe was broken internally, so he dismantled it and welded... In the end he overtimed until 10.30pm (he insisted that he finish his job on that day)

At the end of the day, I was a really happy customer

After reading all these posts - my head is reeling.

I donno - someone say good - but 3 posts ago - someone condemned the same bike shop. I wonder if there is any chance in hell that some organisation do the same test that the UK guys did (i.e. expertly put in a problem with the bike and send it to the shops and see who gets it right and publish the results openly). We are often at the mercy of the service givers (but hey! its our bloody money here!) So something is TERRIBLY WRONG.

Perhaps (the mod may not like this) but put a poll for each bike shop and rate it in terms of overall satisfaction level:

-10 for Very Bad and

+10 for exceeding the requirements

0 should mean that - the shop is doing what he is being paid for in the first place...yup. I pay you - you do it AND you do it well - that's your job.

What do you guys think?

One POLL per shop worthy of POLL Thread?

This way - there is no DEFAMATORY implication as this is only a POLL of customer satisfaction - so if you want to check our what is the general impression of the bike - then you go to that poll for a general impression of that bike shop instead of trawling these thousands of posts with conflicting comments at time.

the shop will nag & kill the mods....

the mods will ahve no choice to close dw the thread & "kill" the thread starter...

Fully agreed with this... regreted getting my bike from there... would rather let other motorshop earn this..

Date: Month/year

Shop Name: A*bert M*tors

Address: Bukit Mer*h L*a* *

Phone Number: -

What service/product did you purchase?

Both of my bikes

Level of service: 3

Level of knowledge: 4

Level of value for money: 1

How happy are you overall? (3+4+1)/3 = 2.66666666666~

What makes this shop commendable?

dishonest, big hole, slow service, long waiting time, lack of knowledge, high price. I only go there when i have to pay my installment. :nono:

Hope that every road user can practise courtesy and reduce the danger of bikers :thumb:

Everbright Motors at Eunos.

Level of service: 6 (The Malaysian Mechanics are a hardworking lot and helpful, however the lady boss Stella only returns call 25% of the time.)

Level of knowledge: 6

Level of value for money: 2

How happy are you overall? 2

Here's a quick summary. I bought new Superfour Revo with ABS from them last week.

1. My 1st choice blue, 2nd silver, 3rd yellow. They say no stock and gave me black colour bike. Ok fine I can live with that.

2. My instalments they tell me the amount but didn't give me documents.

3. Instalments by internet transfer and not GIRO.

4. Need guarantor with income to come down and sign.

5. Charge me interest 4.5% (my instalment is only 1 year). Is 4.5% high? There seems to be all sorts of interest rate floating around.

6. My OTR price is $16350 (inclusive IU, road tax, insurance, COE). Hire & Purchase Fee suddenly charge me another $380 so total = $16730. Freebie is only suspension guard, which is $20+ only.

7. My old 150cc Honda Phantom they say will export for me. So need to hold on to my NRIC. 2 weeks already my NRIC not returned. I getting a bit uncomfortable.

Guys anyone can advise? I have this feeling I will not get any money back from the export of my old Phantom Honda and my NRIC as well. Am thinking of going to CASE (Consumer's Association of Singapore) to ask them to help intervene.

Am feeling lost and confused now........sigh........

Any shop that opens on sunday? Im only available on sunday to fix my bike only :(

I will advise u dun go to those shop that open on sun. From my experience, they noe u r kinda of desperate since its a sun, they will try to "carrot" u even for a minor repair. Its better u wait till mon to go to a reputable shop.
