Better go check up, bro. Yesterday I was on MC cos I had a splitting headache in the morning. When I went to the doctor, I found out that I'm suffering from high blood pressure. 30 above the normal rate of 120.

Hi guys as many of you know my big trip is coming very very soon , with my wing man Alf . To those who in future will like to ride from sin to phuket this info might help you guys out there .

 

Day 1 26/07/08 (Sat)

Meet up at spc tuas at 11.00pm

Move out by 11.30pm or earlier .

 

Petrol Stops on the way to Sadao Border

1st -Gelang Patah

 

2nd - Ayer Keroh R&R

 

3rd - Rawang

 

4th - Tapah

 

5th - Gurun to the border is abt 80km .

 

Petrol stops may be more if needed but roughly this is a guide that can be use . I may take one more petrol stop at Bukit Kayu Hitam . By then it should be around 6.45am .

 

 

Day 2 (27/07/08 Sun)

Once clearing the Custom at Sadao border in to Hatyai

 

Its abt 45mins slow ride ard 80km or so to the Hotel

 

Place of stay - Daiichi Hotel at 680 baht per room / twin sharing . BF not included . If need to then just pay 100 Baht for it .

 

$27.55 ard there (sing $).

 

Once checked in , the rest is free & easy .

 

Parking arrangements has been made for our bikes , the guards at the hotel will look after it . So at ease on that matter .

 

Day 3 (28/07/08)

Check out of Daiichi Hotel , ard 10am .

Have Bf and get ready for a ride to Phuket ,will be covering a total of 490 +km .

The Route to take to Phuket will be

 

1)Phattalung

 

2)Trang

 

3)Krabi

 

4)Phanga

 

5)Phuket

 

Area to stay in will be patong beach , Accomodation on that will be settle in Hatyai. Not reaching above 600baht per nite for twin sharing . Est Time to reach phuket will be around Noon time like 3-4pm . Once settle down its Free & Easy again .

 

Day 4 (29/07/08 Tue)

 

Whatever i want to do , like etc drink , eat or massage so be it cos its time to relax and just enjoy .

 

Day 5 (30/07/08 Wed)

 

Check out from Hotel / Motel ard 11am Thai time

Ride down to Hatyai Check in to Daiichi Hotel , enjoy the rest of Hatyai .

 

Day 6 (31/07/08 Thur)

 

Check out from Daiichi Hotel , ride to Sadao Border , clear custom and back to Malaysia from Bukit Kayu Hitam same thing depending on the no of petrol stops needed . i am not sure if going to stay in Kl for a nite , plan may changed , but at the moment it will be all the way back to Sin. Est time to be back in Sin 12.00am or 1.00am .

 

Total cost of trip $1000 or $1200 depending on the itenary . (pls think clean thots) Why $1000 if u ask me , reason being petrol price has gone up and to be on the safe side its better to bring slightly more .

 

This is the plan for the trip , but on the way If me and Alf decided to changed anything it can be done , so roughly this is the guide .

 

Those who want to send us off on the 26/07/08 , are welcome to do so .

I managed to meet up with Alf, sideswipe and his GF at Mak's Place. Mrs wanted to have dinner so I brought her to Mak's Place. I arrived there at 9pm but I purposely took my time eating my mushroom steak so that I could meet up with the guys.

I saw B-King riding in but didn't manage to chat with him cos he came late and I was already leaving. It was late and my kids need to be fetched from my sis-in-law's place. At least now I know how an 08 naked R1 looks like. Naked with new pipes lah...

Route to use: Phattalung>Trang>Krabi>Phangna>Phuket

Fuel Stops: Trang town Caltex(RON 95) is ideal 1st top up station about 160km from Hatyai, Krabi town(near the pier) Esso(RON95) is next about 145km & about 140km to Phuket province Shell(after Sarasin bridge & airport, before the roundabout) from Krabi.
