Isnt 43 bhp little for 400cc sportsbike??? Or am I missing something.

Beating a Honda is like banging a fat chick. Everyone can do it but who wants to brag about it....

WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE!!!

Yes, this stat: Dry Weight - 147kg

It's a 4t thumper (the same as the 390 Duke's?), so don't expect the power of the old I-4 or 2t pocket rocket, but again, it's lighter than those were.

u should look into power/weight(pw) ratio.

ktm rc 390 pw ratio, 43hp/154kg(wet) = 0.2792.

cb400 super four pw ratio, 52hp/198kg(wet) = 0.2626.

cbr400r(twin) pw ratio, 46hp/194kg(wet) = 0.2371

applies to all, the advantage one have to out gun the other.

Regarding PWR, absolute numbers like that only factor in machine weight. On lightweights like bikes, we have to be practical.

For comparison purposes, throw on an average Asian Male clocking in at 70kG.

ktm rc 390 pw ratio, 43hp/[154kg(wet)+70] = 0.2792. [0.1920]

cb400 super four pw ratio, 52hp/[198kg(wet)+70] = 0.2626. [0.1940]

cbr400r(twin) pw ratio, 46hp/[194kg(wet)+70] = 0.2371 [0.1742]

At which point, the S4 would appear more capable of lugging weight around.

Of course aerodynamics would play a part if we're splitting hairs with those numbers.

That being said, you'll have to consider torque more if you're using it mainly for street riding and the Revs at which tractable torque begins to develop.

IMO, its all the torque that i can play with in sg..

KTM 390 top speed 175(actual speeding) which u dont even reach in sg.

Released in India on 9 September 2014.

Looks like a winner. I am keen to get it if the local agent dont priced it too high.
