Class 3 licence (for class 2B/2A/2 holders)

I have a class 2 licence and I'm considering going for class 3.

 

Are there any exemptions from the theory tests or do I have to go through the same steps as a new class 3 learner? (e-trial, basic theory test, etc)

Same. The RTT for bike only.

 

Class 3 need Basic and advance theory.

This is a very stupid regulation! I brought this up more than a decade ago to the Traffic Police, they tell me Car and Motorbike license is not the same thus no exemption... BUT WHEN THEY REVOKE YOUR LICENSE... THEY REVOKE BOTH!! SIMPLY OUTRAGEOUS!!!

i not sure what is the different between the 2 types of licence they are so concern.

 

But to me one is for safety / knowledge and the other to deter road user from breaking traffic rules by making it costly and painful. I don't see your point to link these 2?

The current regulation is that you can skip Basic theory when your last basic theory test was 1 year or less ago, I quickly took my class 3C while I was taking my class 2B to skip the basic theory. Now car you have to take both basic theory and final theory. 2 Months waiting period for each theory test.
