seriously, IMHO, we have to develop a more aggressive attacking style. More passing and possession. Counterattacking is good when the opponent keeps pressing forward in search of a goal or win. But when the opponent is settling down in defence, long balls to Owen & Co. just doesn't cut it, with all due respect to them. We dun need flair and stylish attack like macam Real. Just simple passing and keeping possession in midfield. At least the strikers will have more and better service.

We have the players to that in the squad. Just that they always get instructions to do long ball counter-attack.

However, whatever da style liverpool plays, a win is still a win unless it's a dirty win then i'll rather not have it.....

Well, WC2006 is over.

Come August 19, EPL will start. And the cycle begins again.

More sleepless nights, more bitter arguments with the spouse over EPL-time & quality-time, more imbibing of Coke, Pringles & what-have-yous, more debate on "Gerrard vs. Lampard" comparisons.

 

I love EPL season....

looks like benitez will pair crouch & bellamy on a regular basis...

 

but im hoping God will get more playing time...

was reading the official liverpool website...and now they are talking about "100 players that shook the Kop"...

 

and 1 forgotten Kop favourite, stan collymore was ranked 57...

 

i could never forget how fowler & collymore terrorised their opponents in the mid 90s...

 

1 was blessed with the ability to score...

 

the other was quick & powerful...

 

both of them worked really well together...

think it would be an good deal...he is 28 years old..in the prime of his career...and a proven, quality finisher...

 

i cant wait to see if benitez gets his man!

Who doesnt love the John Barnes era, but we r now living in the present.. no longer can we see those great players strut their stuff on the pitch 'live'. Let's hope the new batch of players will relieve that era and also Istanbul 05'.
