well, 1 suggestion that i can think of is to re-locate the pick-up points for both the bus and taxis.

If they can be relocated to the HDB carparks nearby, instead of by the main roads, it shld ease the peak hour traffic.

i dun tink this post is meant for flamable comments here.. this thread is about the traffic congestion around the church area..

 

although i have bad encounters with CHC ppl b4, i wun discrimate them or whatsoever.. I believe there are already quite a lot of worshippers b4 they move to their current site which is located at jurong.. perhaps they did not plan as well as they did in terms of traffic congestion..

 

although it's juz a worship/service or whatever you called that which only happens once a week, i believe, they all have a certain time in worshipping their gods. it's the same to all muslim who go for their friday prayers and i believe they do cause some sort of traffic conjestion around the mosque too..

 

the traffic conjestion can't be help.. you have to believe it, there r more christians families owning a 4-wheel vehicles than others, and they choose to drive to their churches for their worshipping session out of convenience or whatever reason they can think of.. after which they usually stay around the church for talking c*** session..

 

whereas for chinese, events such as the "qing ming" festival", it is not restricted to a 1 day only event.. they can choose to go at any day or time they deem fit, which explains the traffic conjestion isn't as bad.

 

to curb the problem, i believe more can be done

 

provide better public transportation around the area of the church.

build a 5-storey underground carpark with at least 1000 slots.

make it mandatory for the car owners to have all seats occupied b4 they are allowed to drive in to the church. this simply means car pool..

 

we may need to suggest this to the church for their suggestion.. of courese, money is always the problem.. if all else fails, u can always lodge a complain to the Traffic Police department or simply dail 999

Actually it is not up to us to judge on others. But since it pays to be prudent with our language, then it is better to exercise it. Whether CHC sues how many pple will not affect us. Because he will have to answer all his own actions to God not anybody else. Not up to us to pass any judgements.

 

For your own good, do watch out your words as it may lead to disasterous consequences. CHC is a very big church and you find many types of pple going in and out just like SAF. You get the good officers, specs and enlistees and the bad ones. The ultimate aim of CHC is to spread the gospel. Some pple may not even bother abt certain wrongs ways the church is following. Or some may just voice out their opinions and get rebuked. But some will quietly pray for the church so that the pple will see the light.

 

The root of this thread is to highlight the seriousness of the traffic conditions. So I think isn't it better to compile a letter and send it to CHC for their attention? Just like how some of the SBF forummers deal with the Shell situation. Though unsuccessful, yet it raised awareness. We never know whats gonna happen in future. Don't give up on the right decisions even when faced with strong oppositions. You may not be the one to win success, but some one will win success for you in future as long as you are doing the right thing.

Yes, indeed you're right that no part in the bible asked pple to be an inconvenience to others.

 

The bible that God gave teaches us how to be gentle to others but alas, few can manage to do that.
