Anyone installed one of these on their cruisers so far?

 

About 6 airhorns in total, each with diff tone/pitch.

 

Heard it cost abt $65 @ mustafa ctr.

 

How illegal is it?

 

Please advice.

Maybe someone has installed these horns on his/er bike but it will not pass your motorcycle inspection as the authority consider this type of air horn to cause distraction and nuisance to others due to their emit of loud and shrill sound when used.

I think the chances of getting caught by TP or ROV is super slim man unless you are horning them, if not how often do you horn... hmmm... if you are so afraid of getting caught even if the chances are so slim then really no point using these horns.

I have to agree with Kan somehow. If your worries are on the verge of points deduction and monetary fine then, do not bothersome cause it is likely you will get a warning for first time round with the subsequence offence a monetary fine for refusing to follow modification regulation by ROV.

great to hear that. i just got the horns from a fellow forummer at a great price. now just need to custom make a bracket to hold it.

even car only use 1 horn...

if u reali 1 REAL loud air horn....ther is a type by stebel is reali air horn...which is meant for cargo vessel...small n loud...market got sell for cars n bikes....hee.

Airhorn! Why would you need them for in Singapore?

bcos the existing one "leaking gas" when depressed..... then the other horn that i have damn quiet......i dun go touring..... but still on singapore road is quite useful...jsut that day, some one was cutting into my lane.....i horn he still come..... din even see any reaction from him..... prob can't hear also......

Yeah bro some people jus put on the deaf ear. I also put on two horn the norm ones bcos there was once a car making left turn but saw tat i'm coming near olready,never stop to giveaway,wah nearly collided,give her the loudest/longest horn of her life.Ask why like tat lel,jus show hand sign sorry.Lucky nvr kiss the road tar if not seow leow!!!!

ya tell me about it..... just kena again from this mutha ducker of a driver on the way to work.......i horn...i myself cannot really hear...boring man.....

 

oh ya i was looking at the horn i bought yesterday...... the installation instructions with the relay and stuff are in reference to a car altho there is a small diagram that say use 10Amp fuse for a when connected to 12volt..... thats refering to the bike's batteries rite.... our bike batteries are 12 v ya.....

 

hope its applicable......but at least i kept receipt ....so if cannot can change....

we "big/wide" bikes need loud horns, especially when taxis cut into our lane when turning, happened to me yesterday -___-"

It doesn't matter whether you have the loudest horn on the road, nasty drivers are still everywhere. I would said, keep your eyes open and keep a safe riding distance.

Multi horn consume alots of power, given me lots of problem to be hornest. Get stebel or hella is good enough, think twice is my advise.
