The word “retired� will become a fairy tales soon

I remember my dream was to retired at the age of 45. I honestly think that I will not be able to achieve this dream (note that I did not use the word aim, target or ambition any more).

 

I seriously believe that the word “retired” will become a fairy tales we tell to our children.

If u are 30 yrs this year, with nothing in yr pocket, but a decent job, but willing to save(or invest) $500 a month @ a rate of 6%pa for the next 30 yrs.

Actually cant blame the gov, with SG people not giving birth enough, our working pop gets lower and lower. Without raising the retirement age, how to find enough manpower? Get foreign talent ppl kbkb they steal our jobs and yet we dont even have enough or are making enough babies to support our own growth.

You reap what you sow. You want a good life dont want many babies scared troublesome and **** then you reap the rewards of having to retire late.

i set a goal for myself. I want to buy 2 studio apt with my 400k (presuming i live over 600, save 500 monthly and is bless with good health which i doubt).

 

 

actually hor, how much is 1 studio apt? any one know? i am so happy now becos i have a 30 yr plan and a goal to look forward to. yeah... i see Ray of HOPE.

p/s: i never blame goverment. I only blame myself. I love my country, i just wish my country will love me as much as i love it

 

pps: i listen to my goverment one. when he say don't be choosey on job 7 yrs back, go sweep floor. i really go sweep floor. although he was refering to the degee holder, but i as a dip holder, also listen to him. i join the sweep and cleaning company to be a road sweeper for 12 month. drawing about 700-800 per month.

 

When government say, get marry, i really do too. i join SDU 10 yr ago. the SDU say only for degee holder, we don't entertain you. then i start all the blind date and the require i wrote "to get marrry". i fail for 2 yr and i gave up. the staff finally say "your earning is not enough, your quali is not enough. sorry no match".

 

If the government say "go war and fight for your country", i will be the first volunteer batch to go. I am very sure of it.

 

I understand that i am in the mid range. the government has to take care of the low range and entertain the top range. So mid range people like me have to self take care.
