Hi guys, how much will it cost to built a track in Signapore?

Maybe 10 Million for one similar to PG.

I got a Pay it forward thinking of, if each biker contribute $1000, then we only need 10000 bikers to contribute to make this happen. Or For business minded people. per pax $10000, we need only 1000 pax to contribute.

Another 5 Million can get of SG local sponsors.

I am up for this how about you guys?

Total S$15 Million.

wah grim, u really think far. i dont think although we have the money, the approval will be very impossible. If it goes thru, i will expect our names will go up to the board of sponsorship on the track itself.

ARRRRGGGH.

I hate reading that the dream of a track in Singapore is likely dead.

I've been fantasizing about the possibilities since this thread first started.

Yes, I've been to Sepang and Pasir Gudang. But the distances and border crossings make it an occasional indulgence, especially given the unpredictable weather.

But with a track in country, a full on race bike would suddenly make a lot more sense to me. And I wasn't too fussed about the actual length and layout: short 'n tight...get me a motard; long and flowing...get me a liter bike. All I know is that a track on our own turf would eliminate a lot of worries and allow me to really try to learn to ride.

In the back of my mind, though, I doubted this track would come to fruition. The appeal seemed fairly narrow, especially if the track could not accomodate F1 type of events that even the non-enthusiasts can relate to.

Maybe the idea will come alive again. I hope so. Singapore doesn't need any more golf courses or shopping centers, in my humble opinion.

I really hope they can reconsider. After spending so much on a 4km circuit, how can they skimp on the safety features required to race motorcycles? It's ridiculous.
