This morning's traffic a lot better. Seems everyone is so well behaved that there is more than enough room for my bike to squeeze through, not like yesterday.

 

Only upset with this Mazda 626 that cut into my lane and zoomed off as quickly as he cut

well at least he didn't cut you and slow down which can be more annoying than the sudden swerving in of their vehicle. well i had 2 cars doing tat to me this morn, one is a bmw (arrogent looking young male driver) and another dunno wat car. one fr the left and one fr the right. sheesh it's approaching traffic lights for goodness sake and they must be rushing to office w a bad tummy!

 

this morn right at the cross rd junction, i saw TP already at 7plus when traffic's a crawl!

well i also saw one TP today... when i was speeding along ECP straight up to his @SS!!! didnt realise it till he was jus right in front of me... was jus wondering why today traffic all so slow... following speed limit when i was speeding... scary!!!!

Traffic slow cos maybe due to the messages flashed on those electronic signboards, "Drive safely. Police operation on" or something to that effect...

I nearly kissed a MPV just now.

 

Almost killed myself.

Was on the extreme right hand lane at the ECP towards Changi Airport, overtaking lots of cars. The Turn off to the TPE was just a while away, I singalled left and moved to the Centre Lane.

 

Another car also smoothly move into the centre lane before me.

 

I look at the back head of the driver, think I know that guy, so I went to the left lane, speed up, took a look and then horn that driver. Road ahead of us was clear!

 

That driver look and I waved. We were both around 100km/hr. Me on Extreme Left lane and he is on Centre Lane.

 

A Female in a MPV, instead of stopping to give way, came ahead onto my extreme left lane at ultra slow speed from a slip road.

 

I know I was not able to stop. And my friend is on the centre lane pararrel to me, so there is hardly any room to move into his lane.

 

So as the backside of the MPV came up fast, I tapped my rear brake and serve to the left and overtook that MPV on the shoulder lane.

 

Then as I got back to the left lane, I waved to my friend again and rode off the slip road towards TPE.

I'm glad that you got through unscathed.

 

Yesterday I had a bad encounter with a black MPV driven by a female. She was going doggy slow. I forgotten where it was . Possibly Zion Road heading towards Patterson.

 

Then this morning, from Grange Road to Kim Seng Road, I was at the 2nd right lane waiting to turn and this van seems to be dreaming when everyone was moving off. So I tapped my horn and you could see him take off and veer into the right lane.

 

Great! Now there is a lot of space in front of me. So I zoomed to keep up with the cars in front and then that van started to veer into my lane! Crumbs!! Maybe he can't see me. I'm in his/her spot. So I horned and he sort of slowed down and I managed to accelerate pass him/her

 

 

Pass River Valley Road and from my mirror I could see him/her trying to make a right turn into River Valley Road from the 2nd lane that only goes straight.......

another two cases of poor female drivers... think they jus gotta improve on their situational awareness...

and a few days back, i saw something amazing when i was riding.. i saw this guy EATING when he was driving.. YES!!! EATING!! he was holding the packet rice, resting on the steering wheel and he was eating away!!!. on the highway. and he was drifting from his centreline lane to the right most lane.. this is as dangerous as holding on to hp right?

can we do something abt this??

MPV are dangerous to rider...

They are big and comes with slightly more powerful engine.

They have very big blind spots as well...

 

Lastly, MPV give the driver a sense of safety, thus they becoming less aware of the surrounding....

 

So i will make it a point to avoid going close to a MPV... More over behind a MPV will block my view of the road infront....

 

Think is it the same whether man or woman driver... MPV is danger in my book...

i hate mpvs too! blardy hugh driving on fast lane! want to squeeze past the side hv to be careful esp at bends cos they tend to makan out into ur space. behind them can't see the front kaoz

If you are drunk, can kena charge for drunk driving so if you are eating while on the move, maybe can kena charge for ate driving???

eating while driving is also illegal, that time see newspaper, they say holding girlfriend's hand while driving also cannot cause will distract you from driving. But never say holding boyfriend's hand is illegal, so I think should be okay for girls (or guys)

Really ###### mad just now while riding along Orchard Road. Stoopid ###### MPV driver driving next to me, want to turn left but don't want to slow down behind me to turn... instead expect me to slow down and give way to him.

 

Start to cut into my lane but I still don't give way. We were travelling at slow speed, about 15 KMH. Turn to right and stare at him but he kept moving closer.. really tempted to give the passenger door one ###### hard kick. Only when he realised he cannot make his turn did he slow down and move behind me.

 

Just because vehicle big means own the road issit???

It seems that that's the perception that these big vehicle owners have. I guess they are like that cos they pay more road tax maybe???

i really felt like clobbering this driver last nite! aft parking bike, we were walking out fr the exit of the car park when this fcuking driver just drove rite in. i raise my helmie at him and he didn't even apologise. my hubby was behind me and stopped rite in the middle of the exit and stared at him! fcuker was too lazy to drive just a few more meters to the entry! WTF!!

 

this is the 2nd incident already. 1st time was blardy p plate female driver!

last night 3am i was riding out from my cp... going to turn right when my gf starting to tap on my shoulder... a cab was turning left INTO my lane... he stop right IN FRONT of me...less than 1m from me... yes he apologised by raising his hand. i tot he was going to reverse and go into his lane... guess wat he started to collect $$ from passenger and giving change!!! all the while i was right in front of him... WTF!!! i was so tired, hungry and he has to do this... very HOT!!! wanted to jus take out my helmet and throw to the windscreen... well i did imagined that!!!! wats wrong with cab drivers???? think he too tired to think liao... really road hazard....

If he apologized by raising his hand then give face to him a bit lah, retro. Sometimes I pity these taxi drivers working the graveyard shift to support their family. Must be really tired to drive all night long. However to the taxi drivers that go out at night in their taxis to meet their mistresses under the pretext of working to support their family, all I can say is PUIIII!!!

You know, if your gf noticed the taxi and even had time to tap your shoulder, means you as the rider is not observant enough.

well jus nice saw my friends.. going to say hi when the taxi came in, i saw him but my gf was a bit nervous and tapped my shoulder... i was riding at only maybe 10kmph or less...

Yesterday at Adam Road from PIE towards Serene Centre, this taxi cut from the flyover entrance back to Adam Road!!

 

Good thing I wasn't going fast. I think it's the passenger who wanted to change destination 'cos the cabbie kept looking back at the passenger
