like the other day after i juz told an accquaintance that i don't work during weekends, she immediately asked me "saturdays got work half day...??"

This morning, a couple of close shaves.

 

1) At Holland Road, heading towards Cluny Road, a car from the middle lane cut into my path so that they can go to another lane to make a u-turn. Thankfully, one blast from my electric horns got that person slowing down so that I can overtake from the inside. Stupid driver! If you miss the turning, you can always go further up to make the u-turn!

 

2) At Havelock Road, before the Ministry of Manpower, accident involving 2 taxis. This yellow taxi was in front and a blue one beside it trying to cut in and cut the yellow taxi so that he can cut into Havelock Road. Big mistake. Blue taxi dented the front right bumper of the yellow taxi in the process. Yellow taxi stopped immediately on the left lane. I sense a jam coming up. That was already 9 am.

who to blame?? the coe drop till so low, somemore lots of company offer $0 downpayment for cars, so those earning above 4k can easily get a wrx liao, its damn easy loh...my fren jus paid $1500 to get a new civic on the road, piang, his salary onli 2.5k and he go buy civic 1.8, goodluck to him..

wow.. this is realli gd luck to ur frd.. earn onli 2.5k n driving a 1.8civic plus upon onli 1.5 down well i jus wonderin to myself isit nowadays most young adult act on the rush wana own a car to show how capable of he is or she is ..? well of cos i dun rule out tht if one can able to afford it then i got nothing to comment abt.. but the rest isit jus buy liao then come n decide whts comes nxt..

but 10yrs loan, 800-900 per mth, that exclude his ins rd tax, car park, petrol and maintaince fee, a mth i think he roughly got to put aside 1300 of his salary to his ride, his 2.5k minus cpf =2000 out of 2k 1.3 goes to his car liao, how to survive? he smoke somemore, i think he's gonna have a hard time liao..

well companies r smart enuf to lure ppl like tat. they dun plan and think far and every mth hv to stinge just to pay for e car....sheesh i wouldn't want to b in a situation like tat and i want to be able to afford some shopping and not worry too much abt meeting month ends.

Very hard time. Before you know it, his car will be repossessed and then he'll be a newbie here asking for help on bikes.....

i advice him not to get it liao, but he wanna hao lian, so let him be loh, i give him 3mths the most, after that he sure wanna give up his car de, but who will wanna get it? its so hard to break even, cos of a full loans on a ten years loan..

Maybe they're also tired as well. I almost got runned over from Yio Chu Kang Road to CTE 'cos I didn't see a black car with dimmed headlights coming from my blind spot! Thankfully I was able to throttle my way fast enough to avoid trouble

scarly i wan to slow down to let the taxi pass the car behind me freaking close

as in the car almost side by side with me!

Fitted some upgrade kit into the carb of my bike so I decided to test the bike out on the highway.

 

I noticed that the American drivers on the highway tend to slow down to give way to those speeding up from the slip roads to join in the highway.

 

In Singapore I don't see this. Singaporean drivers will instead speed up or purposely not give way to a vehicle trying to filter in... as though if they were to lose one car length position on the highway... they will be half a day late at arriving at their destinations.

 

Long way from being a gracious society. Kiasuism kills graciousness.
