Since this is a "kiss or kill" topic, I'll contribute mine:

I was traveling home from class around the Tanjong Pagar area. I was waiting on a red traffic light, that was about

to turn green, on the Shenton Way road leading to Keppel Road when an FQ5***C plater RVF simply roared pass me on the right with a distance in what I could define as less than an arm's length's from me, doing his reckless maneuver without due care, courtesy, or even keeping a safe distance from me.

If you were to ask me, yes; I have had my share of bikers, whether puny 125cc cubs to litre-sportbikers, overtaking me at a speed faster that I was and with such little side distance between me and them.

Today, however, was the end of epitomical tolerance. That reckless idiot just cut me this way -- does he even need to have a 2A license? Or a Class 2 just to show how powerful his bike is to be cutting people at such an astronomical distance? Please wake me up if I can't produce more insults to counter his actions to get him back to square one.

(Dude, if you're seeing this, I was wearing a blue openface on a 150cc bike. Embarassed?)

i'm not angry ... juz plain disturbed.

was travelling on the utmost right lane along Yishun Ave 2 towards Lentor Ave. I was travelling at around 70-90km/h and there was no other vehicles besides me on the other two lane.

wat perturbed me was that this one white-coloured Merc cab came up from behind me ... proceeded to overtake me within inches of my bike to my left , meaning he was at the line dividing the utmost right lane and centre lane, at about a speed of roughly 100-120km/h.

why can't he juz signal to the left, overtake me on the centre lane and then filter to the right again? :nono: there was no other vehicle next to me along that road ...

sigh ... take care all when riding. these nonsensical egoistic drivers still exists around us ... i can only conclude that he is trying to show me that his Merc car is more powerful and faster than my old sports bike. :faint:

It's still the monsoon season (no rain however, just the wind). Therefore, if you're facing northwards, you will have to fight against the wind as you travel on the e-ways.

I've traveled on 2nd link -- the crosswind gusts caught me off guard at the top of the bridge. Pretty scary. Something like a giant hand swiping me off the road.

Singapore should see a marked change from the very wet weather in January to generally dry and hot weather during the next fortnight. The Northeast Monsoon Season, as normally defined by the winds is expected to continue in the region with Singapore experiencing windy periods.

bro... just my 2 cents, plse dun be offended.

If there r no vehicles around n not overtaking, it's safer to ride in the middle lane.

Some cars n bikes come up very fast, and have little patience for slower vehicles in the fast lane. What the merc did was wrong. But it's up to us to protect ourselves also. chill

How about this? On congested ECP this morning, splitting lanes on the way from airport to city... see a bright bike light coming up fast behind me... i siam to one side to let him past... a young chap on a scooter with P plate zooms past...

between the slowing or stopped vehicles...

i must say he is very brave to do that... hope he's safe.

bro... in case u read this, i'm the guy in red FF on the VFR. plse watch out for filtering traffic, cos u may not stop in time. i know cos it happened to me once.

I horn him.... this cb kept coming ... so swerveto the left ... this cb continue on his way left..... the lucky thing is I saw him and this happen on a slight slope ..... so I can brake safely ... But I did nt go after him ... only showed him the intnl sign ... this mother cb better learn his lesson ...

i do understand bro ... but i was from the traffic light stop , on the extreme right lane ... i did move off first and maintained riding at a cruising speed. as there were no others on that road, which is 50km/h speed limit, i had maintained riding on that lane but above the speed limit...

if he had been patient enuff to at least tail me for about 5 mere secs , i would have gladly let him pass. and even if i stayed at middle lane .. there's no guarantee that he would pass me by on my left also .. :faint:

hey... is yours a riding jacket?

i have an alpinestars airflo (i think)... and it's comfortable in the evenings and early mornings. it has an extra rain underliner for wet weather.

i leave the underliner out most days, cos in the day it tends to be fairly warm... but good enuf cos some air goes thru the mesh. cheers.
