I had the scariest morning on the way to sch.. It was raining and about 5mins to reach sch. At the major right turn junction towards near bukit timah plaza, i was making a turn in the rain When after a turn, a van didn't signal and tried to cut into my lane.. The when i saw it, i jammed my horns (using stebel horns) but the driver didn't care and continue cutting, i tired accelerting but there was a car infront, and a car tailgating behind plus a bus on my left.. OMG!!! I almost shouted and i used my right hand to wack the van on the side but he still continue coming in and tap me on my handle bar.. WTF!!!! Horn, hit his window, hit my bike then he let me off.. I was totally boxed in and first time i felt so helpless and cannot do anything.. After the car infront suddenly filtered lefti think due to my continous horning and i accelerated.. WTF! the van driver totally don't care about me sia..

 

Cold sweat was dripping down my face and my heart was pumping like crazy sia.. OMG! I thought i was going to be an accident victim man.

time to get some knuckled gloves and steel toe doc martins

make sure dent the next vehicle who tries to do this stunt.

from wat other forummers mentioned, the key is to avoid such situations totally. coz when it happens it's really SH!T.

 

no point horning if they "gheh gheh" want to disturb u.

 

Unfortunately, NOTHING we can do except get out and let them crash other ppl.

 

Forget right of way, practice right to live.

 

Ya man, that's why i tell my sis who wants to ride that is fighting to live on the streets with a bike man.

Ever tried punching or kicking the van?

 

I've punched a van with my gloved fist before when he edged in.

 

Same for a cab after he changed lane in stopped traffic while I was lane-splitting. I swung left to avoid him, and end up stopped next to him. Shouted out loud and punched his boot section real hard and he came out to apologize. I wish I was wearing those Icon Titanium gloves instead of normal kevlars, then I will really dent in his bodywork and at the same time wave at him a metal fist to get my point across.

 

Ya i did that before when a van cut into my lane b4 but without wear gloves ( i really regretted that, swollen for 1 week) but was happy cos i created a deep dent.. haha..

Help! this morning ard 1045 after topping up @ JB and clearing passport control otw back to SG,I was stopped by the Malaysian TP for having modified exhaust.Im riding Aprilia RS125 with legal Arrow pipe with certificate and passed by LTA.I told the officer,my pipe is legal and certified in singapore but why here im fined? He said JPJ didnt clear the pipe.WTF man? On the piece of summon paper he gave me,he wrote in the offence reason "Ubahsuai ekzos (bising)" meaning modified exhaust (noisy).My pipe isnt loud at all! How many thousands of malaysian cubs with loud ear piercing illegal pipes are on their roads? Im fined RM200 btw.for this i have to appear at their TP hq next month in JB.

 

any bros encounter same thing before?? I can appeal but what can I do before that?

SO MANY TP OUTSIDE NUS ! was wondering, wat the fish? so many TP for wat? SOC also have xia. then think think, ORH ! got national day rally. then there was several orders, i had to pass by that stretch of road. fwaa! all the time kena target by them. luckily never bump into any of the TPs after work.

 

and today whilst riding ..

my bike make alot of funny noises ever since i tighten my chain ! pfft ... and whilst lane splitting, i realized, DARN !!! brake never makan ... several times i almost bang the bike infront ... and saw a chain collision at AYE .. thats why traffic slow like hell .. tsk, all these kepo singaporeans ... after work, go workshop, change sprocket and chain. 90bux gone !

 

how i wished i can just teleport from one place to another ... so tired travelling from far east to far west every day ...

keep safety distance when lanesplitting k, my first skid coz follow too near.

in the traffic its "big fish eat small fish"...no different than when i'm driving my car and some idiot lorry driver decides to crowd into my lane. for bikes, as it has been said many times before, stay out of such situations. if someone comes into your lane, slow down and let them come in. avoid lane splitting if at all possible. and ride with a safe following distance. we're the smallest on the roads and it is easy for them not to notice. if they have stereo switched on, or talking on the mobile it is entirely possible they won't even hear you banging on their vehicles.

its properly parked la..it's too straight already..the rider is actually being considerate, see..still got space for bike on the left n right..this is a good example of making full use of the limited space for assigned bike parking..:lol:

Yes lo... Those who park there more than a couple of times will be familiar... You have to park macam those bike shop selling bikes. And when your bike's left/right companion leaves...

Not uncommon to find a bike or two beyond the last lot too...
