Please take note... Serious Road Traffic Accident involving 2 cars and a bike on the extreme right lane of SLE towards woodlands from tampines after Mandai exit... Ambulance should have arrived by now... Rider was rolling on the floor when I went pass him... Seems like the driver change lane when he was lanesplitting on his scrambler... Take note... Looks like gonna rain heavily in woodlands too... Ride safe guys...

I think just multiple abrasions and some fractured bones la... Nothing broken can already... Most probably got hit at his rear wheel cos his bike was about 2 car lengths in front of the car who hit him... Lucky no car or lorry go over him... Phew...

i only lane split below >= 50kmh... depending or eway or normal roads

 

any faster if sway sway car swerve out, no time to react to avoid accident...

The lawyer say only can claim loss of use for the period stated by the person who surveyed the damages... If he say the bike take 1week to repair, only claim 1week... Wtf right? And claim for 1 day is like $25 only.. Knn... Bus fare go up, taxi fare go up, the claim go down... Crap la... Smlj...

Usually if e traffic is tat fast an u think u can go faster, theres no need to LS right? Just wait for chance can overtake by changing lanes.

That's the thing... I got motion sickness on the bus and sometimes on the MRT and taxi... But bus is the worst.. That's why I ride bike... Public transport sucks... Haiz... And recently got 100+ china workers from smrt go on strike... So it's not safe to take it anymore don't u think?

Just met this fierce S4 rider on AYE(City) just now. I was lane-splitting at quite a slow speed because there was a heavy traffic & my GF is still recovering from the "accident" we had 2 weeks ago.

 

Then this fierce S4 rider came behind me, sounded his horn a few times because I was blocking him from lane-splitting. I got no way to move because the cars at lane 1 & 2 are so close together.

 

Why should I risk being sandwiched by cars just to give way to him? Anyway, I was already looking for opportunity to squeeze behind a car in lane 2 but he clutch in & "REV" at me

 

Luckily there was this gap in lane 2 that I managed to squeeze in but had to come to a complete stop, then off he goes "REV-ing" his way through.

That is quite an uncommon situation unless you are travelling in the wee hours. Personally I lane split when the vehicle in front taking own sweet time especially when on lane 1 or 2 of expressway but I do plan my next move. For the most left lane I do not really mind.

Was lane splitting between lane 1 and 2 as traffic was slow. Then came a cbr1000 rider revving behind. I was already LS as fast and safely as I could. Getting frustrated I moved into lane 2 and let him get in front. Then I LS in between lane 2 and 3. Few seconds later I am already overtaking the cbr1000 rider. Turn my head to look at him with a big smirk on my face.

some big bikes do give way to small bikes too....

 

but sometimes dont understand what riders thinking to rev so loud when the traffic is heavy..

 

doesnt help if u are doing ls...

 

for me i just turn on signal to tell the rider behind im moving left/right and go into the lane safely to give way...

 

dont want to hold them from reaching their afterlife by all the revving.

Basically, no. Especially on days like tonight, road is wet, still some light rain, visibility not great, a lot of reflection from the brake lights, I'm quite happy to stay in the middle of the lane and do 70-80km/h.

Of course idiot taxi drivers will still move into my lane but that's another story.

To give him be benefit of the doubt. Sometimes maybe the bike got problem. Once I had idling issues on my drz. Was riding to town without silencers on my barrel 4 exhaust. Was LS in a queue and what do u think? Had to keep my rev up all the time and if I let go, it will backfire and engine cut. Annoyed quite alot of riders then. Hehehe. Oops.

Ve not took public transport for years but seems like only got deprovement. Ok understand ur case. Just wondering if there is any way to appeal against e claims. Maybe e surveyor not aware of ur motion sickness. but of coz may need to produce medical cert. When come to legal matters always talk about paperwork.

Then i salute u back le coz u saluted me. anyway depends on situation. Some roads i TRY not to LS. On expressways, on certain parts certain spd i also TRY not to LS. So yes sometimes at 70/80 i dun LS.

nope i wont. when cars see one car legth of space ,thwy will change lane jus like that ..

then become we lose when we hit them

actually when ride small bike i always kena from S4 , so too bad , i am doing a tit for tat ..

 

btw do u always go to west side like towards pioneer ?
