Ya, tried before. Sometimes rear wheel lock, fishtail and regain traction. But most of the time never rear wheel lock. Anyway what 90? I ebrake at 140 before while lanesplitting. Also same what. Never wheel lock, never bang car. Braking distance 3-5 car lengths. While the cars moving at 60. Seriously, I don't need u to pray for me. The last time my mother prayed for me, asked god to save my soul or whatever, I ended up in hospital. Almost died. Anyway, I told her not to pray for me anymore. It doesn't work for me. Because I prayed to god to give me money, but he never give. Instead he give me hospital bills to make matters worse. Haha. Sad life man... I also dunno what to say anymore. I live day by day thinking that sh!t will happen anytime anywhere when u least expect it. Whether I'm in the right or wrong, the sh!t will still happen no matter what. Accident is sh!t happening, kena summon is also sh!t happening to me. Bt I rather kena summon than get hospitalized again la... Given a choice between health or wealth, which would u choose? I choose health. If speeding would prevent me from getting involved in anymore accidents, then so be it. Lots of freaky drivers causing freaky accidents nowadays. Hougang incident of motorcyclist colliding into a van, rider declared brain dead. Sgh harvested the organs from the rider despite family objections. Not fun at all. I rather be a poor healthy man than a rich dying man...

I reach e line ebrake 140 lanesplitting and stopped reading. I can only wish u good luck, all e best and pls never sabo other ridees.

Then ur other post u say u ride safe bla bla bla and all e ****. But u lane split 140. I think u just stop trying to explain urself ba. I dun c anything nornal with LS at 140. E others maybe like to make fun or u, laugh at ur words w/e. I prefer to give it to u straight. U need to understand u r not normal. Maybe c a doctor or something.

LS 140 normal. More like abnormal

Not really. However fast I go, I stop before hitting the car in front. That's fast enough for me. Unless you're one of those riders who don't change brake pads or disc brakes. Then it'll affect the stopping power. Otherwise, it won't affect how fast u stop when youre going fast.

You hit car = instant stop, you jam your brakes, you flip forward = instant stop. Irregardless how great your stopping power is, the faster you go, the more distance you'll need.

Its basic physics bro and its physics when you corner as well.

Anyway, I think I tried braking from 180 or 200 before. Very scary. About 50 meters to get to 100... Scared the sh!t out of me too... Haha... But, 1-2am no cars so no need scared... I don't cause accidents... I try not to... Because I'll feel very guilty if I was at fault... Cause the other party inconvenience... Just like my pillion who fractured her elbow when I hit the oncoming car. Damn paiseh dunno how to explain to her parents... But luckily I had a qualified riding license... She was able to claim about $60k for her injuries... So I think this would have eased their financial burden slightly... The hospital bills incurred by her was slightly above $10k... Maybe less... She didn't tell me... Just imagine what would've happened if I didn't hav a license... She can't claim anything... Make it worse only... Anyway, I speed depending on my mood... If I lazy to speed or not feeling well, I follow behind car, lazy Lanesplit... if I feel good and my alertness level is good, and traffic normal congestion, then ok, I speed but not too fast... Lane clear everything clear, why wait? Lol... That's me la... Maybe u all won't approve the riding method... But it works for me... Imagine going 60km/h on expressway at 1-2am... That's just an accident waiting to happen... Why? Some racer car going at 120-140 didn't see u and hit u from behind... Or u fell asleep while riding... Lots of possibilities waiting to happen, u never know...

When you say you speed. What is your speed? Public roads is not a safe place leh.

End of the day, i still think we shouldnt boast abt how fast we go, especially how we can still manage to stop in time even while speeding excessively.

Firstly, you're boasting abt your speed exploits on a forum where TP are known to browse. They see pple boasting abt speed here, they set up more road blocks and patrols, we all kena some way or another.

Secondly, there are kids here who just got legal to ride, and may have just gotten their licence. They see pple posting that high speed 'avoid accident' and slower speed 'cause accidents', they will be confused cos that's not what they were taught in schools. Furthermore, the more fearless ones may copy bro PJY, but they dun have his e-brake skills. They buang, lie in hospital, then say they read in forums pple say e-brake at 180 macam like easy only how? Granted they stupiak dunno their limits. But we are a community and should watch for the benefits of everyone.

Everyone got their own concept of defensive riding. Try not to encourage anything outside of what is official traffic safety guidelines. If newbies like me wanna be more adventurous, they will try it on their own and should anything happen, only have themselves to blame.

I'm not encouraging people to speed. I'm just encouraging people to ride at the speed they're most comfortable with. Even if it's exceeding the speed limit, if they're comfortable with it and they can e brake in time, why not? As long as they do whatever it takes to prevent themselves from getting into an accident, I'm supportive of their speed. Because of my previous experience, it's a fact that going at the speed limit affects your chances of getting involved in an accident. Just stating facts. Not boasting or encouraging people to speed. Anyway, the TP has my records already, of all my previous accidents. They wanna bring me to court for whatever reason, I'm prepared to face the consequences. Just trying to prevent more accidents from happening.

PS: guys with p-plates should use the 1 year probationary period to know their strengths or weaknesses while riding, adjust your riding style for Singapore's roads. Customize it yourself, as long as u do whatever it takes to avoid an accident, just do it. It's not fun to lie in the hospital. Especially if the bill amounts up to $20,000+... Trust me...

Sorry, I feel comfortable lanesplitting at 60-160. U wanna Lanesplit at 240, be my guest. I'll visit your funeral if u want. But I think it'll just be a waste of time. Haha...

Lanespliting at 240km/h is not common but i believe most sportbikers do that on the NSHW.

It's achievable. If only you have been out of S'pore.

I did it my way

travel fast very dangerous, if the vehicle infront of you has better breaking power (shorter breaking distance) you're pretty much gg if you can't swerve out in time

chill guys..

Some people prefer to ride slow and some prefer to ride fast.. so be it..

The point here is just, some people would want to ride at 40-60 on the extreme left lane and they find it "safe"..

But some people prefer to ride at 100+ on the right lane and they find it "safe".

Personally, I find that both methods is correct.

Slow is safe when there's no big trucks and tailgaters.

Fast is safe when there's stup*d tailgaters.

2 Personal experiences.

1- Weekday (monday-thurs) 8pm CTE, quite ok for road, not little nor alot of cars.

I was riding around 80km/h on 2nd lane, i notice this HID car was quite far (5 cars away and we are on different lane) as the lights are irritating. Within 10 seconds, it was on my tail. I sped up to avoid him.. Move to Lane 3, he chased, move back to Lane 2, he continue to tailgate. This is it, why follow me when the lanes next to me is empty? Speed up + lane spilt to ensure my safety. After 20 seconds I sped off, he gave up and continue slowly.. Weird right?! These drivers just wan to bully 2Bs thinking they can "eat" us?

2- Weekday (friday) 3am CTE, road clear.

I was riding around 80km/h on last lane (slowest lane) Racer cars or drivers just speed past me without any weirdos.. LOL..

End of the day, no tailgaters - safe road.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Some people ride at 40-60 on the extreme right lane. Lanesplitting. Safe?

LOL.. if lane splitting at 40-60 on right lane, that also means the car is 40km/h, den ok.. :p

If the car is 100km/h, den definitely no no.. :)

Ya true. But these people label me as a "racer" already. No point talking sense into them. They feel safe keeping to the speed limit. Why? Because they're riding freaking class 2 bikes. WanFazer riding 1400cc bike. Why he will be afraid of cars? Cars bang into him, I think the car will be damage more than the bike, the cost of repairing the car would be higher than repairing his bike. That's why nobody dare to tailgate him. This kind of people, no need to talk sense into him one. Just wasting your time. U never see I also stop replying most of his comments already. Because he Macam paham only. Like as if he know how us small bikes feel being tailgated. I think he forgot the feeling of riding 2b and 2a and being tailgated by cars, that's why he so stuck up. Keep show off his 1400cc bike with ABS all this sh!t. So what got abs? Mine got no abs so what? I speed so what? U don't speed so what? I speed so I won't get hit from behind. U don't speed because your bike f**king big and expensive, who dare to hit u? CBR 400 old bike, very cheap, that's why drivers dare to hit me from behind. Your bike new Kawasaki 1400cc who dare to hit u and get claimed $10k for the repair alone? Common sense please. Your bike big, my bike small. Small bike riding style different from big bike. U think I will speed if I riding blackbird or hayabusa or harley? Enjoy the breeze man. Who dare to hit me, I claim only. Why? Big bike can claim more than small bike. U think I don't know? Anyway, big bike stopping power better than small bike, why I don't want speed? Because big bike already speed for what? Just relax sua. I know if people wan play with me I sure win one, I speed for what? But now I'm riding 2a, three and a half times smaller than your 1400cc. So please put that into consideration when you're commenting.

lolx.. chill chill..

Take a break, a smoke, and soon time will flies and you will feel better.. :)

I know some people with CL2 have this "look down on CL2B and CL2A" thingy but most I met is alright.. so Chill chill.. :)

No need to talk sense to others but I get what you mean.. Riding defensive is what we need to.. Bang from the back is the most crappy and innocent thus you preferred to speed up faster.. :)

Let's just chill and relax.. afterall this thread is,

Today while riding.. ;)

Want to blame someone? The cars who always tailgate us.. haha.. :D

for the benefit of everyone, there is no such thing as government hospital anymore.

its either government restructured or private hospitals.

ambulance cases are all straight to government restructured hospitals.

SGH, AH, TTSH, CGH, KTP, NUH and even the upcoming JH all are the same under the government restructured hospital umbrella.

and yes, you are most probably under the care of housemen before the specialist sees you
