Anyone have any idea on how do the LTA get ideas from their thinktank on scrimping Motorcycle COEs, and indulging more COEs for 4-wheelers?

Road hogger @ 50km/h on 4th lane

A bike can go up till 200km/h, can the rider go up till 200km/h o_O

Yesterday on my way home from work. Was signalling and about to turn left into carpark. Driver of a merc plated SKE3789* from the opposite side made a right turn into the carpark even though I am in his sight. Managed to swerve away and apply the brakes and horned. Driver glanced but totally ignored my presence. Not surprised. Many thoughts ran through my head. Thoughts like kicking the door or spit and etc but managed to maintain my composure.

As riders, many of us experience this kind of drivers especailly those ex cars. many times i have seen them going from one lane to another without signalling. I always think, hmmm car too expensive that they forgo installing the signal lights. imagine the cost of installing . or the car is so fast that by the time they filter and signal, they have already filtered so why need to signal or i am so damn rich why the heck must i do all this.

the strange thing is i seldom see they get caught by TP. it is always us being strangle by them

I think that Coe for car and bikes r different pool. The coming exercise is a reduction across the board for all Coe.

15% of scrapped motorcycle COEs get moved to Open Cat.

i have a hunch about this. lemme put it in simple terms.

cut coe supply -> demand up, supply down -> price of coe rises -> panic bidding as ppl wan to renew asap to prevent future rise -> price of coe rises again due to dd and ss -> ppl are priced out of the market due to cost -> these ppl scrap their bikes -> 15% of coe gets moved to open cat -> more coe for cars. car owners benefit at the expense of others

do u agree?

Yeap! Its a vicious cycle! But a cycle nonetheless! Very smart ppl ruling us!
