No offense bro. But I think you've mistaken cos I just passed my class 2 at BBDC. The instructors taught to stand beside the bike, rock it towards the front then brake the front wheel(I always tilt the handlebars right so that the bike will lean towards me instead of falling away from me).

 

Having said that, you're method is more convenient and if my class 2 bike has a centre stand, that will be the preferred method to dismount the centre stand.

Ya I hate standing and pushing it down also. And sometimes I think they already fill the engine block with cement to make the big so stupidly heavy. And it's v hard to mount a big bike while steadying it with your hands.

I got twice encounter different cars turn right never signal and just drive to right recently and I press the horn then they slow down give a gap, bikers got to watch out these drivers either dont see blind spot before turning or force bike to give way.....becareful

Lucky for you its twice. Get ready for more. Unless people stop looking at riders as 2nd class citizens. Its countless times for me. Drivers suddenly swerving to exit out of expressway from second lane forcing me to go into shoulder because missing an exit and u-turning is trouble to them but forcing their way out 'pushing' a rider cruising on the left is so much easier. Driver swerving into right lane almost hitting me from the side and when I horned the car stopped the swerving (due to my loud horns) only to signal and swerve again simultaneously upon seeing its just a bike from side mirrors. Driver changed lane hitting me from the side but thankfully I managed to control and stopped safely only to be shouted at by driver saying how I ride. Shouted to him back asking him changing lane never need to signal? Winded up the window and ran off bacause he realized he was in the wrong. There are lots more but too lazy to list them all. Honestly, I remember hearing this from someone who drives often.

Most Singaporeans want to lane change just do it without signal or checking blind spot, they just wait to hear for horn, no horn means safe.

 

Lazy driving imo. Just don't want to turn head.

To the SG bike convoy heading south-bound on Nshw (Mostly S4 & 1 Fazer 1000) at 3.15pm just now,

 

Your "Marshall" attitude was Un-Called for at Pagoh R&R.

There's no need for you to stop the traffic for your convoy to move off at the Petrol station, what more blocking a car when filtering to the expressway.

 

You shall know the "Do & Don't" of a Marshall on the road.

 

Do revise your group SOP when doing convoy.

 

Spare a thought for those road user who is also using the road.

Do not project to road-user, that SG bikes own the road.

While riding home from work . Spotted so many drivers using their mobile phone while driving. Almost met with an accident with another biker in front of him. So wanted to stop him and just summon him

What he did was to block the filtering lane into the expressway. Car driver obviously sleeping.

 

On another note, when some sg drivers driving on NSHW, they really think that this highway speed is equivalent to pie or aye. Drive so slow and cut out to fast lane doing 110 when slow lane doesn't have any vehicle. When **** happens, it's going to happen real bad.

yeah. most drivers are selfish. My friend told me he dont signal bec when he signal the car will accelerate dont let him pass so he dont signal at all.

 

And some times when I want to overtake the car infront me. I switch lane to his side. and he see me he will accelerate like 10km/h then after i overtake him. I check my mirror they will slow down. Their behavior is really funny. I guess ego problem.

Because they refuse to accept that bikes are faster due to power to weight. They cannot accept the fact they pay so much but still slower than a bike which cost lesser.

True enough. They lose face when others overtake them. Mentality problem. :what:

 

Two unforgettable incidents experienced today. One was a car with a really beaten up rear plated SJ*5149*. Just got crashed into I guess. Lights turned green and off I went. Saw that this car in my mirror and it was going fast. Made a left turn at next junction before a right at the next. Slowed down to a halt to wait for tge green arrow. Arrow lighted up and off I went. Was negotiating the turn when this beat up car can just squeeze on my left making the turn too. There is only one turning lane at the junction. It is fine if he wants to get in an accident but please do not drag me down as well.

 

Second was a grey lancer speeding in minor road. I was in the major road travelling straight notice this car speeding approaching to turn out into the major road I was riding. Call it intuition or whatever. Something tells me to get ready to slow down and stop. True enough the driver just turned without stopping to ensure its safe to do so. Notice the bright coloured triangle on the back of the car. Guess this fellow does not cherish his licence. Was behind him at the next traffic light which was red. Light turned green but it took the driver almost 5seconds to move off so I horned. Probably annoyed he sped on the straight and almost come to a stop at the bend ahead. Obvious he went too fast and unable to negotiate the bend as he got in the way of a turning van. Went past him and gave him a thumbs up. Need to find a way to mount cam on bike again.

Today while riding, I saw the new licence plate series.fbj 608 if not mistaken. i laugh to myself thinking who the heck bought the FBJ 1.Is it a guy or girl?? if got so much money, maybe LTA can allow him / her to bid for the last one and give any of his / her choice like FBJ 1 ? . hahahhahahhahahah

Today i saw a p plate fz16 riding on the first lane of aye near bunoa vista exit, he was riding at around 90-95km/h not hogging or anything as no car behind. then suddenly a taxi change lane from 3rd lane all the way to 1st lane and Almost hit him on the side and the taxi and the taxi stop his lane changing for a while as he notice the bike was beside him and was in between 1st and 2nd lane. And Guess what he do next. He continue his lane change to 1st lane even tho he know the bike is beside him, forcing the bike to brake and slow down.

 

When I saw this I was so piss. I was about to chase the damn taxi and point him middle finger. But after thinking for 5sec I didnt do it as iif I chase him i will miss my exit.
