my WR200 was stolen the following day, 24th june... i'm at my wits end... been going around my neighbourhood everynite till wee hours of the morning, leaving me drained when i go to work...

it all started with losing my keys and full-face helmet... now its escalated to this. police reports have been made, have checked with bike shop and they said my Vara's NOT been repossessed. My WR is fully paid for.

please bros, if anyone comes across any of my bikes, please call 65848831 or 62661412.. my name is Jerome.

my WR 200's been found today!

both bikes found in tampines area. WR wasn't damaged, and parked under a void deck in street 43. guess the thieves still wanted to bring her for joyrides.

have left my vara at workshop. for repairs and a new ignition to be fitted.

still gotta ride my WR to work everyday, so i bought two big padlocks, one for chain and another for disc brake. will be getting her a new ignition on saturday.

cops are investigating. looking out for young punks in pasir ris and tamp, sporting injuries, cos that would be the only way of determining who rode my vara in the two accidents.

hav given them details of who i suspect.

they've decided to step up patrols in my area, and if luck's on my side, they'll find the ****heads who're holoding on to my keys and my full-face helmet.

I intend to take legal action for damages IF the culprits are ever caught, cos my insurance is third party only.. doesn't cover theft. yeah, i'm an idiot for buying such a cheap insurance, i know.

as for downgrading, nahhh.... i love my vara. :)

i don't think they got accident. maybe they just tip over your bike for fun.

no la it really was an accident. the damages are of a 'buang' kind... not a normal tip over. like my rear brake lever for example, it was bent upwards badly and like 'shaved' off... front brake lever broken n shaved off... both side fairing same, 'shaved' quite deep.

but i strongly felt that its the 'buang' of an amateur rider who jus simply lost control and fell. even the I/O and my mechanic agreed, rider couldn't have been going more than 60 km/h... jus an idiot who's either not used to the bike, or an idiot who doesn't know how to ride.

the persons i suspect are a group of 17 to 19 year olds, total 7 of them in the group, who hang around my void deck. since the Vara was found, 2 of these punks hav gone missing... prob is i dont know where they live, and I/O says he can't do anything until i actually see them bearing injuries of a motorcycle accident... only then can he detain them.

anyway, i've ordered a new set of footrests and everything else thats been damaged. sigh... gonna take awhile till she's running again.

btw, anyone knows where i can get handguards of this brand "PolliSport" ?

i purchased a pair sometime in 2002 for my WR, but they were stolen in 2006. searched a few places in jalan besar, they reacted as if i was speaking an alien language....

actually u got no one else to blame for this except urself. If u have been more attentive to security features for your bike, u wouldnt have to go all through this trouble. youngsters will always be youngsters. we've gone through that juvenile stage once anyways. well its good that u managed to found ur bike. just take it as a lesson learnt and stop whining on your ignorance. aite. be good

some (admittedly radical) people have suggested that teenage-hood might be an aberration, a social disease.

in any case, youngsters will be youngsters, and adults will be adults who have a duty to make sure the youngsters grow up right. it doesn't mean that just because they are young they can be exonerated. they are the future of our society!

JunyahRebel>> the 1st thing you found your bike shld immediately report to the police and not directly recovered it back. I have similar case as what happen to you. My bike was only found when i received outstanding fine from HDB, bike was fined in 2 occasions in that area. Reported to the Neighbourhood police and they manage to found back my bike with a different number plate. The guy still enjoying riding my bike w/o knowing that the police has already ambush him for several days. I think i must salute & thank s the officer who found back my bike.

"PolliSport" i think difficult to find it in singapore, the last shop that got it is M-technic but no more bringing in. Maybe u can try acerbis handguard. Work well in both of your bike too.

well u see, with my vara, i found it on my own with my brother who drove me around.. i looked at condition of bike, n knew it was no point trying to ambush, cos its too damaged to ride again... so i called cops.

with my WR, it was parked in a void deck, for sure the thief was gonna ride again..... but the cops jus sit beside it n wait for me to arrive on the scene; definitely would've scared off the culprit. I asked my I/O, "why couldnt they hav jus stayed out of sight, and do a lil surveillance to ambush?" his reply was that its "not the proper procedure"..

so no choice had to sign the statement and the handover n takingover document n get out of there la...

and i gave up on finding pollisport, bought GPR la.. looks pretty solid enough.

ignorance?

did i forget to mention that on both bikes, i had padlocked both front and rear disc brakes?

pardon my ignorance, but wasn't that adequate? or should i have employed security guards to stand there everynite? or was i supposed to be aware that padlock cutters are so easily available these days?

why are u even in here commenting anyways? u think scramblers are jokes, don't u?
