Advise on getting a 2B Bike

Good Morning to all sg bikers.

 

I just got my class 2B and wanted to get a 2nd hand for price 2k - 2.5k..

 

Any recommendation from anyone here..

 

Appreciate all your help to advise me on geeting my "first bike".

Congrats for getting ur 2b...

 

Honda CBF150 good bike also, extremely good fuel economy.

 

For safety reasons, I would really advice u to upgrade to min of cl 2a asap after ur 1 yr p plate. Get a 400cc bike...

 

Not to scare u but alot of 2b bikes got into accidents becoz 2b bikes are lighter, have thinner tyres and partly also the designs of the bikes.

 

Ride safe n enjoy ur ride is the most important.

its the mentality of how u ride... a lot of ppl just pass and think they are some racer cause they still don't know how dangerous sg roads and drivers are...

 

there are ppl who ride 2B bikes for yrs with a clean record... those who got into accidents are hot-headed, racing minded and also due to inexperience.

 

so just get any bike that u can afford and appeals to you. good luck!

Wat BluE_StreaK say is quite true. Sorry if this sounds offending but fresh graduate 2b riders are somehow immature, hot headed and reckless, couple wif inexperiences is the main ingredients for an accident.

 

It's more painful to learn from ur own mistakes compare to other ppl's mistakes.

Let this be a lesson that you should always switch to better quality tires if you are a new rider on a new bike( or a 2nd one with worn tires).

 

Of coz this does not apply to those of us with more than 10yrs of riding experience coz we are aware of the problems with stock tires being not suitable for local roads and our experience and awareness migrating the increased risk.

I remember i skidded few times on those crappy tyres when i was riding my phantom. Had to be xtra careful.
