With Fuel prices getting higher nowadays, i need a better FC bike and other than the Vespa LX (i dun really like the outlook), Gmax seems to fit the bill as its FC can be about the same. I'm currently riding a runner by the way. A fun bike but FC can only go up to 24km/litre unlike Gmax 35km/litre(depends on how it is ridden). Some more runner is very common now on the road unlike Gmax! Its something unique!

push push push! gilera 200 did u go see? whats the power diff between the 2?

Difference between the two??

If you are refering to the VXR and VXR'06, basically, in my view,

1) The chassis and body design is different.

2) Engine is exactly the same.

3) The exhaust seems to be a bit longer like an X8's exhaust

4) Underseat compartment is wider and shallower

5) Tail of the new VXR seems to be much smaller, so not sure can fix box nicely or not.

6) The design is much more uglier than the older design.

In conclusion, i shall not buy the bike as it looks like a Gmax wanabe. Looks nearly like a Gmax except for the front view which i think a Gmax's one is much more nicer :lovestruck:

An of course they state that the FC is 40km/litre.... but onlie if u ride at 60km/hr :faint: For Gmax ahz what is the FC if u ride at 80km/hr most of the time??

If you ride 80 km/h most of the time. usually at 6000+ rpm. not agressive riding like rocket launch or whatsoever. U can get 36km/l. on highway travelling.

Kanna ubi/defu super jams. u get like 32km/h. especially u get stuck like cars and cannot go anywhere.

Got someone always ride at 70km/h. superslow take off. He got a super impressive 38+km/l. This one I donno have he can tahan the slowness.

So far, I think the G-max FC is pretty fine. With V-power at $2.00 per liter before discount. I think still can afford lah. I always end up $10 after discount for v-power.

If I'm still riding my first vxr, That wound be at least $20 after discount amn

The old runner is 129Kg and average 24km/l

Now the new one is 130+kg and look fatter. more air drag. So don't think itwill be 40km/l or even 30km/l

The Brochure for the Runner 06 says that its FC is 40km/litre if riding at 60km/hr, roughly, if normal riding, should be about 22-24km/litre.

From what u guys say, Gmax 150 have an FC of 30 and above even for normal riding and that is what makes it attractive to me other than its outlook

On the difference of Gmax 200 and VXR 200 '06, i'm not very sure as i havent see the Gmax as of yet. Maybe some of you guyz might have came down to the Vxr'06 show and compare the different between the two bikes? I also wanna know the different other than the new "turbo" exhaust system and "NASA" technology piston (this i cannot confirm :cheeky: Read from the Gmax webbie.) But the thing that is most important is the :thumb: FC and great outlook :lovestruck:

1 very major different is that, needless to say, a 200cc bike will be more powerful than a 150cc.

Guess that's the price for fuel economy.

Turbo exhaust. Is just a name for a product. (Guess Taiwanese still got a long way to go in naming technique)

It's basically a simple "primitive variable" exhaust system. It's a 1 to 2 system with different pipe diameter. Meaning from the 1 header that came out, it will split into 2 pipe eventually. Both spot a different diameter. 1 is bigger than the other.

So during low rev, the exhaust will come out from both pipe. When high rev, high exhaust pressure will bypass the smaller pipe due to pressure diff.

This means that the engine have a very free rev exhaust all round thru-out the rpm. Very little flat spot.

As for the Nasa material. It's only available one the special edition. The macau championship edition. It's basically using a alloy that was initially meant for nasa project in the past. It's basically have a particular silicon content. Very much like the alloy that malossi is using. or should I say, most racing parts material is around there. So it's stronger, and can withstand higher temperature when compare to normal alloy.

From my uderstanding, the new 06 Runner 200 uses the same engine as the old VXR as in uses the Carb. instead of the fuel injected model mainly to lower down the cost and to meet the emission standards in SG which is oni Euro 1.

Whereas in Europe, they have implemented all vehicles to meet Euro 3 emissions standards. That is why they manufacture the 06 Runner 200 with an additional fuel injected model just to meet the Euro 3 standards.

As for the NASA technology, only the G-Max 4 valve fuel injected 150cc models uses this technology. Which is specially manufacture to meet the Euro 3 emissions standards. This model is mainly sold in the European countries.

Yap. All G-maxes brought into SG uses Carb. All meets Euro 2 standards.

For the G-max 200 currently is using carb. In future, will it use fuel injection still unknown.

Take your time to browse ard Europe and some asian sites abt PGO scooters.
