Depending on currency exchange rate.

It comes with all the mounts that you saw in techmoan's video.

This camera is good in the day. During night time I think it's still far off from gopro.

Just recorded a vehicle dashing red light to make a right turn. Luckily I didn't throttle a lot if not I would have been superman.

Came back home to review the video as I wanted to submit to traffic police. Can see the whole situation clearly but not the number plate. Zzz..

If your budget allows, gopro would still be a better choice.

I am considering to get a gopro as front camera and mount the sj4000 at the back instead.

My view, capturing of number plate would be subjective. It will depend on where you mount the camera at and the type of bike you are riding. I am currently using this SJ4000 and had mounted on 2 different places which is behind my windshield and on my helmet. For me, number plate can be seen when mounted on my bike but not as clear when mounted on my helmet. I believe, when mounted on helmet, our head naturally tends to produce more movement as compared to our motorbike (not sure if you understand where i'm coming from). Secondly, i believe if a bike with an engine that produce much vibration as compare to, take from example a shaft driven bike, which are a much smoother ride will produce a more shaky video clip. The terrain would be crucial as wel such as off road riding. Just my 2 cent. no offence. cheers :cheer:

I think Sony's ActionCam is a bit better. It has image stabilization and very clear image quality, very easy to capture license plate. Shape is a lot nicer and aerodynamic also.

Only a bit pricey.

i am using sj4000 for almost 2 months. value for money. HD recording , motion detection , comes with all usable mounts. in my own opinion, its good given the small price tag.

I tried my friend's sj4000, it is a camera which really worth the money. I have gopro sliver myself. the quality only loose gopro abit, and SJ4000 is only less than half the price. Plus the user interface of SJ4000 is much better than gopro, it is easier to change the settings and connect to the PC. if SJ4000 has come out 1 year earlier I would have bought it instead.

@SGGH, how did you mount at the side? Wanted to do it but not sure how to do it haha. Care to share? Using Sony HDR-AS15 :D

I used velcro, the device is quite light so it does stick.

Here is one gopro fan! I mount my gopro on the handlebar during my ride. Amazing footage. Just got myself the new GoPro 3way mount. Functions as a grip, tripod and selfie stick. 3 in 1 for just $119.

I think the $119 is for the grip, tripod and selfie stick. Not the gopro itself?
