FC got lotsa facts affecting.

1. heavy throttling

2. always activate VTEC

3. more short trips travelled - frequent start/stop

3. choked air filter

4. higher weight engine oil

5. not enough tyre pressure

1,2 & 3 is the most fuel consuming events. Mine can travel till 300km when short trips and up to 380km when constantly on high way.

Hope this helps.

ok tks i usually travel to my workplace to and fro using short trips w traffic lights and occasionally highway. im not sure if using aftermarket exhaust is e one affecting it.

im using stock now btw and my FC has improved tremendously. im thinking of using GPR cos its a v nice looking exhaust cos of e carbon fibre look. is it advisable? i see alot of forumers using it w/o complaining of e FC. if everyone is ok then i go and change liao..

Hmmm... i oso on short trips. My to-and-fro work is less than 15km in a day. Not much chance to go highway actually. :cheeky:

But i feel my FC pretty not bad liaoz. :thumb:

And Spec2 apparently will consume more fuel than the rest of the Specs. My Spec1 FC, like i posted above, is approx 300km when doing city riding (which i do most of the days). :cheeky:
